Yeh I really wanted an arm particularly the ergotech/tron ones but I haven't found one that can be mounted to a glass desk

So $500 extra over X34 for 20 extra hz and 10bit colour? Id wait for the HDR variant for those keen on a new ultrawide.

According to sources like PM monitors and tft central tgey r still q127inch q2 35inch.

Also X34 was always 10bit. So its just the 20hz

and a better curve i think, 3800r in the 2015 model vs 1900r in the 2017 model.

Different curves is more personal preference really. I don't see why there is such a delay in HDR panels. Pretty sure there has been 4k true-120hz HDR10/Dolby TV panels since like 2016.. Maybe adding G-Sync into the mix adds complexity.

Just to help some of you out who aren't able to access it's full list of specs yet, or just speculating.

More advanced IPS panel, like the Dell, which lets it hit 120hz.
    100hz native - 120hz OC.
Increased Curve of 1900r (already mentioned)
Contrast Ratio of 100,000,000:1 (It appears pccasegear have put this as static, error on their end (or not?), as it could be just it's dynamic)
Better looking design, no more stupid black glossy plastic back.

    So not quite a "Rip"

so both the Z35p and X34P are 1440 and 100hz by looking at pccg

what is the difference between them other than 1" real estate? IPS vs VA?

Yes IPS vs VA and an extra inch really. You can expect some more possible ghosting on the Z35P, also not quite as good colors, but that's with any VA vs IPS panel I guess.

Looking at the comparisons it seems 35p still sports the old OSD and menu layout, which was confusing as hell to use compared to the X34a/p. So there's also that. Also the design difference, sleeker vs more bulky thicker bezel of the Z35p.

oki if you think that justifies $500 extra. Personally id go the Z35P due to VA.. extreme color accuracy isnt overly important on a gaming panel, gimme them blacks!

Do people really care if the plastic on the back of their monitor is glossy or not?

    Same! Tax return 2016 baby!

Definitely got bang for my buck.. rather than waiting it out this long for the X34P
