P4M900 - single or dual channel DDR2?

    Despite what Asus say, the P4M900 can only support single-channel DDR2. The only current Via chipsets for C2Ds with dual-channel support are the PT880 Pro and PT880 Ultra

    Thanks for that SLATYE, seems like the Gigabyte GA-8VT880P board is the best for all round compatibility with legacy ram, agp cards and present mainstream DDR2 & PCIe Vgas. Also supports current C2D quads and dual cores! http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products...d&ProductID=1937&ProductName=GA-8VT880P Combo
    Perfect HTPC for those with older pc parts and a few modern ones...:Paranoid: :lol:

    Asrock's 4CoreDual-VSTA is also worth a look (it's almost identical).
