Nice chainbolt. You seriously need to get your hands on some x1900 cards though. I'm beating you in both benchmarks with a 920 and a single 1900xtx
Well, that aside. How is the crossfire setup working IRL? I've heard a few nasty rumours about crossfire, is your setup working well in games and stuff? Maybe drivers for x850 cards are more mature than those for x1x00 series cards in crossfire.
Also I have to tell you I drool everytime I see sceenshots of that 955xe cpu....

Well, what I mean is I know a few reviewers who have testet x1900 crossfire solutions, and they didn't think very highly of crossfire, and specifically mentioned the drivers. So I merely ment to suggest that maybe on the x850 cards there are fewer bugs...
Having had a couple of SLI systems as well, I'm more than fimiliar with bugs in multi GPU systems.

Those temps are nice....39c after a PI....whats it getting up to during it? You happy with the Zalman cooler?
cooler is great, never gets above 41c under full load

Assuming that the room is at the usual 25~28, it's normal that the temp goes drops back to idle a split of a second after SuperPi is finished, thanx to EIST. And 1M is not stressing the system at all, anway.
I also have the feeling that EIST works better with Core 2 Duo than before with Pentium 4. Multiplier, voltage, and temp seem to drop faster than with Presler.
Graham, if possible please post some oc results as well.
you can disable speedstep on step 5/b1 and step 4 conroes easily as well as use the lower cpu multipliers http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=104811
EIST can be disabled in the BIOS anway. But for what purpose would you do that? For SuperPi? For complex benchmarks it makes sense though.
so far for most Conroe ES uses of badaxe board, disabling EIST in bios has no effect
as to purpose, seems to help benchmarks slightly heh

reckon u could run ur conroe at stock and see how much time difference there is.. so its more 'even' (same clock speeds that is)
