    Ahhh...so YOU'RE the other guy :D

I'm the guy that got the Kenko 2x AF DG converter (what a steal as they go for 3x the price) and I also picked up the studio lights for $25 each. Just waiting on the wireless triggers to come in from ebay.

That family's uncle certainly had a nice collection. Was hoping I could find something of use but most of it is museum material.

EDIT: To keep this thread on topic, I have the following Pentax collection

    K-5
    K20D with Genuine D-BG2
    Pentax DA 70mm f2.4
    Pentax A 50mm f1.7
    Pentax A 28mm f2.8
Kiron 100m f2.8 1:1 macro (Same as Vivitar 105mm and Lester A Dine)
    Sigma 10-20mm f3.5
    Tamron 70-200mm f2.8
    Pentax AF540 Flash

I bought a used K-x here as my first DSLR, and eventually upgraded to the K-5 once I accumulated a few lenses to find the viewfinder on the K-x was too difficult to adjust manual lenses with. Extremely happy with the K-5 and have sold most of my manual lenses for auto ones except the A50 f1.4.

Currently most used and also most recent purchase: DA 35mm macro.

Want: FA 31. Might have to sell off some gear to fund this though...

They had more teleconverters? That 67 looked mean with the wooden handle and the massive square hood, I wanted it for a decorative piece but I had no idea on all the gear and it would have been nice if he donated it.

My collection is rather new, switched from Sony to Pentax at the start of this year, best decision ever.

    K5
    Fa50 1.4
    Sigma 17-70 f2.8-4.5
    Sigma 10-20 f4.5
    Sigma 70-200 f2.8
    Fake dbg4

I think I need to try out some limited lenses and see what all the rave is about, might be able to get some bargains as everyone is switching to FF.

Mmm there is a 31mm on gumtree for $950 neg, if only the wife wouldn't notice the money missing :(

Just realised I hadn't listed my current Pentax gear. Here goes:

    2x K-5 + 2x knock-off D-BG4 battery grips
    DA 10-17mm F3.4-4.5 fisheye
    Sigma 10-20mm F3.5 HSM
    Sigma 17-50mm F2.8 HSM
    FA 35mm F2
    M 50mm F1.7
    Sigma 50mm F1.4 HSM
    Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 HSM II
    Sigma 85mm F1.4 HSM
    Tamron 90mm F2.8 Macro 1:1
    Sigma 400mm F5.6
    2x AF-540FGZ

Yeah, I've got a lot of Sigma lenses, but personally, I reckon the HSM shits on screw-driven AF. Heck, I'd even get the Sigma 30/1.4 to replace the FA 35/2, but alas, its not HSM in K-mount.
All I want now is a FA 250-600mm F5.6 and I'll be happy....

Saying this as a K-5 owner who is extremely happy with the camera - if you dont want the top lcd screen then I would go for the K-30. However, there is also the option of waiting for Photokina and seeing what comes out as the K-5 has been discontinued. I love my K-5 though:D

Sweet, yeah I really do like the idea of the top LCD. My good ol' K200D had it and ever since then I've wanted it back.

The shutter is like a mechanical keyboard for me; the louder it is, the better!

We used to have a Pentax film camera, so we're using the old lens off that, plus the 18-55 that came with it.
Using the film lense shifts the length rating thingy up which is pretty cool.

So loud that the mirror is notorious for getting stuck? hmmm!

You mean the Automatic Mirror Lock-Up feature...?

Apparently they're loud, but amazingly stable - Pentax used to balance a coin on its edge on the top of the camera, then fire the shutter without the coin falling as a marketing stunt.
