Yes, because Leica shares the exact same bang-for-buck ideals as Pentax...

My thoughts exactly. Just your ordinary "We haven't fired you, we've resigned yourself for you, now now shhhhh...here's a nice big pay cheque. Quiet now"

I would be on board for a FF pentax.
Pentax ergonomics, the ease of the button layout is fantastic. Green button!

using the d800 i feel as though the controls are fairly cumbersome. i prefer using one hand on lens, one hand for controls-

I used to be fairly mad about getting FF DSLR from pentax but over time that feeling has faded, but then again so has my passion for photography :upset:

I have a good collection of gear now just lacking motivation to lug it all around and shoot, more about 'experiencing' the moment. I need to find something I enjoy shooting. Tried nature got bored, landscape got bored, street was fun still enjoy it but rather live it.

What camera I would like to see from Pentax would be a K-Mount FF but similar retro design to that new Sony (was it?) FF compact that was announced. I would sell all my zooms and live with all the epic Pentax primes forever I think...

I just don't understand the need for fullframe. I'll never get the rage and despair that goes along with Pentax. I'm perfectly happy with APS-C; I'm still cropping many photos, and obviously resizing them significantly for web use, so why should I care about larger sensors and more megapixels? (though I know MP doesn't directly relate to FF and it has to do with FLs too).

I will upgrade from my K-r to a K5-II, quite likely. Though my K-r has plenty of life in it yet, I have no pressing need to get a new body, mostly just want extra DR and the battery life of the K5. Plus two control wheels and top LCD is certainly attractive.

Once you've experienced the brighter viewfinder and improved low light performance it's hard to go back (still miss my K-7) :(

Well the K5 (and 7) have larger, brighter viewfinders than my K-r, so they're still a pretty big improvement. Also 100% would be nice, the K-r's viewfinder is not. Also pentamirror instead of pentaprism. But that's just going higher end APS-C, not full frame. Low light performance doesn't really bother me much since I never shoot in low light (aside from some astro attempts, which are obviously on tripod anyway).

Yeah man....the difference in low light shooting between say the 5D MkII and the K-5 is about as small as the difference between say the 7D and the K-5.

Technology makes a bigger difference in high ISO use than sensor size.

I want a full frame Pentax but only to round out my kit. FF isn't a replacement for APS-C but the two compliment each other with their relatively different strengths and weaknesses.

Barcelona left my camera bag with my girl friend while I went to the loo, some guy came up and distracted her while someone else lifted the bag from between her legs without her noticing.

lightroom doesn't support the .pef files yet. UGH.
I've got the DA35, not the other two. (closest would be the FA77 and the Sigma 70-200 2.8).

    I'll shoot some jpgs tomorrow.

AF is still meh, but I'll report back on Monday. I should use the camera for more than an hour before making an assessment!

Shutter is even more muted than the K7.

And my jaw literally dropped when I saw the ISO3200. Holy sheeiit :thumbup: I should have bought the K-5 classic when it first came out :tired: and this: http://www.adorama.com/ALC/Article.aspx?googleid=0012810&alias=15-Low-Light-High-ISO-All-Stars

edit: added a pic taken with the DA35:
Shot as PEF and converted to TIFF via the DSLR's Raw Development (with no edits). Tiff imported to LR and exported as jpg, again, with no edits.
The conversion to tiff removed the exif.
