Damn, how do you find shooting with the 645Z? Does it still feel bulky or do you get used to it?
Yep, on a KII primarily shoot with an FA31. Not going to delve into a FF body until I see what happens with Pentax over the next few years.
The K-3II? or the K-5II? I upgraded from a K-5 and I've been quite impressed with the K-1. The K-1 II is set to enhance higher ISO performance, which I'm looking forward to. The upgrade is like $700 however. Not so keen on that price.
Pentax need to get their shit together re autofocus.
Image/ISO etc they're all over. The autofocus though needs a complete overhaul.
I like it. Very easy for Canon users to adapt to the 645Z.
It is not a walk about camera and mostly I use it on a tripod. The IQ is just superb. I have used it out of a helicopter, but you need to be careful.
Lots of high quality second hand lens available from eBay Japan - cheap.
When only the best will do, I reach for the 645Z.
Admittedly I haven't used other systems, but the K-1 was such a huge improvement over my K-5 in terms of autofocus, I forgave Pentax.
That's great to hear! I've heard about the battery on the 645Z not being all that great as a walkabout camera anyway. Did you buy brand new or was it second hand?
It was bought new. Battery life is good. I take might 40-50 a day not thousands - you learn to take less at around 50meg a photo.
