Damn, how do you find shooting with the 645Z? Does it still feel bulky or do you get used to it?

Yep, on a KII primarily shoot with an FA31. Not going to delve into a FF body until I see what happens with Pentax over the next few years.

The K-3II? or the K-5II? I upgraded from a K-5 and I've been quite impressed with the K-1. The K-1 II is set to enhance higher ISO performance, which I'm looking forward to. The upgrade is like $700 however. Not so keen on that price. :(

Pentax need to get their shit together re autofocus.

Image/ISO etc they're all over. The autofocus though needs a complete overhaul.

I like it. Very easy for Canon users to adapt to the 645Z.

It is not a walk about camera and mostly I use it on a tripod. The IQ is just superb. I have used it out of a helicopter, but you need to be careful.

Lots of high quality second hand lens available from eBay Japan - cheap.

When only the best will do, I reach for the 645Z.

Admittedly I haven't used other systems, but the K-1 was such a huge improvement over my K-5 in terms of autofocus, I forgave Pentax.

That's great to hear! I've heard about the battery on the 645Z not being all that great as a walkabout camera anyway. Did you buy brand new or was it second hand?

It was bought new. Battery life is good. I take might 40-50 a day not thousands - you learn to take less at around 50meg a photo.

I don't know why I'm bothering (I hope there's still others who are interested in Pentax), but there's a new APS-C flagship...

Anyone excited? I thought they hit it out of the park with the KP, so I'm keen to see its performance against the KP.

Glad to see there are still some around! I was contemplating at one stage switching to a KP cause the bulk of the K1 was annoying me and FF lenses be damn expensive.

I'm curious as to why they've called it Pentax Flagship first then mentioning it's an APS-C camera and not an APS-C Flagship. In fact, a little annoyed they've done it in that particular order.

Whoah there... Ease up. He is talking about this forum, not the entire country! :D

It's Pentax. Absolutely nobody has any idea on what their marketing division are thinking at any time.

    So...Time for a necro!

The FA limiteds are getting a HD refresh! Would like to see improvements, but I'm not likely to swap my OG with them.

I am eagerly awaiting the DFA 21 limited though!

Oh really, I haven't really picked up a camera in nearly 3 years (bad I know). This is amazing if they do, I love my FA 31mm.

The DFA 21 is a much hyped addition, in my opinion. I'm not going to be getting the 15-30 any time soon, so to have something wider than the 31 would be amazing.

Surprisingly, the newer HD variants are all cheaper than the OG ones.

Oh and what about the K3iii? RRP of $2900. They've lost their mind. My K1 Silver was only $2100!

Anyone have any experience with a Ricoh GR III? I'm thinking of getting the Street Edition for about $1190. Seems like a lot, but it looks like a nice little compact camera. Wish I had gotten a KP when I had a chance though.
