Don't have to be a member! Just walk in to Teds and buy it outright, no need for shipping or membership. They quoted me $199.95 over the phone too. The Brisbane store has tons of stock apparently, but only black+prime lens.

It's ULTRA tiny! Real PnS size! I was quite disappointed by the sharpness but then again this is comparing against $2-3000 digital cameras. Really can't complain for $200.

yaaaaaay it arrived :D charging the battery now. still can't believe how small it is. gonna take a while to get used to it, but straight away the button placement is quite good.

This is true. Pentax always nail ergonomics.

I held one yesterday in Ted's in Adelaide street, and it is nice. Does not feel plasticky at all. Does not feel cheap. Yet despite its size, it did not feel painful to use with gaijin hands - no "Why the hell did they put that button there?" sort of thing.

Still, though, it reminded me of holding a baby bird or a kitten.

Focus was fast and quiet, though I'd imagine the massive DOF from the tiny sensor and wide lenses (relative to 35mm) help. I took some RAWs on my SD card (again, props to Pentax for using DNG; didn't have to update my software to read them).

There's no immediately discernible distortion. Oh, it's there, and Adobe RAW proves that, but it doesn't jump out at you (this was on the normal lens, wide open). In fact, the vignetting wide open was quite pleasant. It was the sort of thing I'd be inclined to add myself in post for certain shots.

And the noise levels at 250 were quite acceptable, about the same (though somehow more pleasant) of my K-5 at ISO 800, which I can deal with.

Main thing with the Q is you can get the K mount adapter for it; let's see some people and their 300+ glass!
