This has been an idea ive wanted to try for a while now!

Of course it involves perspex :D

always wanting to do a quicky Clear case mod! this would be the perfect opportunity to try this new type of mod!

this case revolves around the Green Toxic theme, and will be the first of 3-4 mods using this style modding.

    the second will be "Storm'd"

and the third will be "Shock'd"

    and possible Fourth "Flame'd"

I seemed to have a lot of Green Plex laying around.......... :Paranoid:

so the green Toxic theme was a good one to start with.

I also had a sexy green custom res left over from an old server mod!

and a bunch of green UVfans from X-Com (cheers guys)

The Case was a cheepie EX Display kindly supplied by Capitol.(cheers steve)

You guys can see here! just with the supplied parts! im well on my way to a modded "theme" case!

I definatly liked the idea of dual front 120's!!!and will make a custom front to accomodate them.

also played around with Res placement and some UV just to see how this was going to look.

With the toying out of the road its time to get on with adding the Toxic Goop theme :)

This idea was actually inspred by Zak :) cheers son

The idea is that the green plex will oooz and run down the side of the case.

Using a second case to work the shape.

For the motherboard side! i decided to add a "SLATT"

A "Fan" support is fabricated from 8mm plex..

This will hold the 2 x 120mm Coolermaster Green Uvfans.

A rear plate of green plex willl be added for "contrast" and some counter sunk holes drilled for steinless steel hex head bolts.

the whole unit is then routed, wetrubbed smooth and all the edges are fire polished with flame to make them shiny again,

I'll knock this whole mod over this weekend so major and final update...provided NO interuptions ! will be posted tomorrow :)

soz mate! had no idea you were planning the same...this is an idea ive been talking openely about for a few yrs now.

i'd imagine its going to be a mod everyone will be doing soon.

Simply because the degree of difficulty is near 0 and this type of mod can pretty much be completed in less than a day !

if you read the above, there is a Second and Third theme case in this series..

one will be "Flamed" and orange flamed case.

the other will be "Shocked" a Blue and Purple lightening bolted case.

    ThanX aGain guys

Thanx for the support guys

Got a late start today :( but as promised i was still keen to knock this mod over in a weekend.

first thing to start the day off with was some painting :) i decided that i didn't want to "flood" the inside with green! so to keep the inside of the case uniform ive gone with matt black.

The psu, water blocks , pump and Cdrom are prepped and painted. The CPU loom is covered using black flex cover... again..not wanting this to be a "feature" black is best used here as well.

This will allow the internal Green cover and water tubes to become the main internal features.

The first mod of the day after painting was to Relocate the power/reset and activity leds. Due to the adding of the Dual 120's, the original area where these were was cut away.

I little but of carefull drilling and tapping now has the buttons/leds replaced over to the side of the case.

Next was to design a motherboard cover! YES! the good old motherboard cover :p like my tanks these are becomming a bit of a trade mark...but i got to have a bit of fun with this one and a less techinical but well themed cover was on the cards.

To attach the cover holes are drilled in the far corners. To give some flexability gromets are added

A long scew with a perspex 22mm spacer isused to suspend the cover above the motherboard.

The cover is then bolted in using the old board locating risers.
