Time to add the previously painted and cabled PSU, i also decided to add some UV green molex ends i'd had left over from an old mod.

Next was time to add the water blocks. This is an old Jarron Water block ive had laying around for while...a custom 10mm plex plate bracket was fab'd up and used for this mod.

A Swiftech GPU block is used to take care of GPU cooling

2 hose holes are added to the rear for the external res hoses to pass thru.

The Swiftech MPC600 pump is bolted in

    all hoses are connected

The system is filled with the usual suspects!

Pump is run for a while to bleed the system and the res is snapped back onto the top of the case

Internals are wired up and checked

just a quick question, what would you use to cut a hole in perspex, but still be able to use that bit that has been cutout?

Once again that's some amazing stuff.

Defyant, you are a modding God.

So when are you going to start computer modding classes?

    I'll certainly enrole.

I'm interested in what sort of plans you start with, do you start with a basic sketch of what you want to achieve, and work from there, or work as the urge takes you and make changes on the fly?

Great looking as usual Defyant

Does that "goo" perspex in front of the optical drive door come open when you eject? Like is it attached to the drive door, or do you still have to fix up that bit?

Again thanx guys :) looking back now there are still a lot of things i'll work on over the next few weeks.

Possibly a higher spec hardware, maybe a smaller micro AXT board.

@Sureshot ; cheers mate :) it just happens..the ideas usually come as "spin offs" from previous mods, or while im working on a current mod...i will get an idea..but that idea dosn't really "fit-in" with the mod im working on @ the time. It gets stored in the noggin for a later date :)

I guess im blessed with a great paying flexible job an incredible wife and son and a workshop with the tools and room that allows me to pour my madness all over these pages :)

@ littlemaelstrom ;The front "goOp" is attached and does open with the cdrom door.....i'm leaning towards changing the goOp look for a SPLLLAT! look.

@ Modfroman ; i use 3 diff methods to cut plex hand jigsaw, the bandsaw and of course the trusty dremal.

As long as your plex has the "paper" cover you won't scratch your offcuts and be able to use them again.....

This whole case was built from off-cuts of scrap plex! the case itself was an ex shop display unit from Capitol ( Cheers GOD  )and the UV green fans and Molex's were X-com (Cheers Jenny and mike  ) all hardware was laying around from old upgrades and the water gear is all old spec cooling gear iv'e had laying around here for ages (Cheers Keiith  ) So the case is a real "pimp my case" effort. :D

Again guys thanx for your support, it means more to me than you know   :)

mate what can I say? Great ideas, excellent execution.

Just a tip from a long time long time H2O user in case you don't know: you'll get significantly better performance out of the heatercore if you pull air through with the fans rather than try and blow through it, and even better if you mount the fans a distance of around half their diameter away from the heatercore. Still if you did all this you wouldn't be able to see the sexy fans out front! ;)

looks awesome! What do you plan on doing with this case? You could start up a company of custom cases you make them that fast!

hahahahahah cheers guys :) Mrs D might have something to say about that :p but i'm yours if you can cook a decent roast dinner!!!

    cheers orbiter! understood :)

a lil update guys! few things were eating away @ me today!!!

I wasn't happy with the front cdrom cover door thingy.... just looked like a foot to me...

And i didn't bother to incorp an eject button.

Had a bit of time to think about it @ work today and came up with this new door and idea for an eject button.

some one had also mentioned the PCB for the buttons looks a bit "outaplace" thru the plex.

A bit of black fixed this :)

The design for the new door~! this time i went for a "sPLAT" rather than a gOoP!

the idea this time is to attach the Green plex splat to a clear door panel which is already attached to the cdrom door.

The Custom Eject button will be a "sliding cylinder" type construction and will consist of a shaped inner shaft that runs thru a hollow shaft with the button glued to the front.

the whole assembly is then attached to the clear door panel.

    lost?

the 2 main parts to the mod. an outer clear tube with a solid tube that runs inside.

the inner tube is sightly larger then the inner diamater of the inner hole. this is a good thing because it will give me a rear stopper(foot) @ the back.

Over to the bench press to take a few thou off the inner shaft.

    pretty crude! but it works

The whole unit is attached back to the CDROM.

the front splatt theme cover is glued on

and finally! a finger test!! :) i love it when things just work!

Well since i was modding along now!....... i thought that i would glue on the side splatt.
