    Hi Guys,

Im surprised there isnt more togs chasing this thing around the city, but it has been fun for the last two days and should be again when it comes back from Albany next week...

    More info HERE.

Here are a few photos from me, the first being from yesterday at the convention centre and the other three from today at the train station. Im sure the processing wont be to everyone's liking (im not sure about 2 myself), and im experimenting, so they are all different, but C&C is welcome :)

Ha, this is a cool idea. :)
I really like the first one, there's a good colour contrast going on there and the lines are good too.

My reaction to 2 is to think that's probably from a cutscene and not actually gameplay footage.

Does the girl in the center of that shot actually have red hair to match the colour of the ball or is it processed to look that way?

2 is probably the best in terms of composition of elements. You have the girls hair, the top of the info sign and the ball all pretty much the same colour. That lame cactus sculpture doesn't look as bad in that shot as it is in real life.

Thanks, i love this one :)

Yeah, i wasnt sure about 2, but im not sure why. It does look rendered, which i dont normally like, but with such an out of place element in the red ball, i thought it all fit.

I didnt actually notice the girl's red hair until i had it in lightroom, but it was not processed to look that way. I had a laugh when i saw it though, because it is almost the same shade of red as the ball!

    Cheers,
    Michael

How did you achieve HDR Bloom effects in your shots?:thumbup:

    Wow. All very nice shots.

They are chaining this thing down so it doesn't get hurled into traffic right?

Not sure what you mean by bloom effects, but with the exception of number 4 in the first post, they are all HDR. Just not pushed to the point of being a cartoon (at least thats the intention) :)

Thanks. Yeah, when it is suspended, it is tied down, but when it is wedged somewhere, it is just kept there by friction I believe. They always have a festival volunteer there handing out the info pamphlet anyway. Apparently, in all of the cities around the world it has been setup in, it has never been vandalised...

Here is one from Thursday's placement. It was supposed to be in a much more interesting place, but due to a dubious issue which i wont go into here (but do on Flickr) they didnt get permission.

Not entirely happy with this one, but it was the best of a bad bunch (i was rushing to get to my birthday bash!).

And here are two from the YMCA building on Tuesday. It was an interesting place to put the ball on this day, but i had trouble finding an interesting photo. These two are as close as I came (but missed :p)
