Just a couple of shots that I wanted to share. In my defence, if these are heaps whack, I'm editing them on my dad's laptop which is NOT made for editing. It was really more of a test for the Sirui tripod and the Haida filter. Both did very well! I'm very pleased. 1. DSC_9774 by personicperz, on Flickr 2. DSC_9907 by personicperz, on Flickr 3. Nice! location of #3? Whenver I visit rellies, I'm stuck in Manila.. ugh, what dump. pollution and traffic are the pits!
Yeah, I'm not a big fan of Manila. Same reasons as you. #3 is Tinago Falls in Iligan (birth place). Down in Mindanao. Not easy to find cause it's more of a local area. Get a nice guide and you'll be right though.
Both on the list for my next visit! (parents are moving here so I can visit pretty much once a year at ease ) I'd love to see Bohol, everyone I know who's been there can't say bad things. Plus the monkeys!
according to my folks, bohol was recently hit hard by earthquake so the chocolate hills now have cracks I was in Palawan last year, highly recommended Thanks for Tinago falls. fitting name (hidden falls)
Not really but it's always good to just exercise some caution, I'm lucky enough to have family around the area so they took us there. If I didn't have family there and I wanted to really visit, I'd try and get a guide sorted beforehand who was willing. I don't know how to write this without being rude but the area is heavily Muslim populated and that's the reason for why they say it's dangerous. We had 3 Caucasian people with us (my gf, my sis' by and a friend) and we were fine. Unless you meant Mindanao as a whole? In which case, it's a 50/50. Oh, and there are 450 rather deep steps to get down to the bottom which is fine... until you have to go back up!
Some great shots, my mum is from Cebu but the family is in Manila so when she visits I usually don't go. Only shot I'd have liked to see something different is the third one, would have loved a composite shot of the kids in the water and then a second exposure for the waterfall and then blend them together.
