Cutting down on meat and diary will certainly help our carbon footprints. Tackling food waste should be a priority before we all turn vegan though. The amount of carbon emitted producing food that is never eaten is enormous.

You could make a good argument these days we should be stopping animal farming to help us dodge the next pandemic. While COVID is raging there’s also been a massive avian flu outbreak amongst poultry producers in Victoria. Apparently free range producers have been the problem as birds outside have contact with wild birds who bring the virus in. Hundreds of thousands of birds have had to been killed the last few months. Only a matter of time until the next virus makes the jump onto humans.

Has a very meaty texture, very much lik a juicier pulled pork. I thoroughly enjoyed it but the wife not so much.

We picked up some smoked jackfruit from Aldi, and finally made burritos with it the other day.

    Smoked Jack Fruit
    Avocado
    Salsa
    Lettuce
    Refried Beans
    Rice
    Coconut Yoghurt

And we used massive spinach soft wraps from the bread isle at Coles.

Man, was in heaven. Stuffed myself with 3 massive burritos then passed out on the couch in an orgasmic food coma.
