Just been watching this game on a Twitch stream, looks pretty interesting. Wondering if anyone has played it, or has any thoughts on it?

From what I have seen its a round based, open world, small team based, FPS with DayZ style loot mechanics, for lack of a better description.

Edit - video below - Thanks Sledge.

It is currently getting ready to launch via Steams Early Access, as of 24th of March 2017.

Doesn't look anything special/different to all the other games out there of this style

You've never played any CoD or Battlefield games?

Not sure if you're trolling or being serious?

Errr, nah. BR type games aren't CoD'ish. The combat is more similar to ARMA than CoD.

Then you've got the whole shrinking play area thing, long range engagements etc.

If you want to try a game like this now there is a mod for ARMA3.

    Nothing like CoD at all.

always wanted to try the mod, so this looks very interesting. And yes nothing like CoD/BF and AFAIK the only game like it (or perhaps at least the first?)

This is essentially ARMA 3 , massive maps & you all jump out of a plane unarmed & have to search for weapons/gear to kill each other, last man standing.. and so it doesnt end up being tedious the map shrinks in on last few players so they can actually find each other.

It honestly is just H1Z1's King Of The Kill.

    What's your point?

KoTK was just a remake (and a shit one at that) of the Arma 2/3 Battle Royale mod that was originally developed by PlayerUnknown

ARMA, H1Z1 and ARK all have a take on this game mode.

This game looks more like ARMA with 'friendlier' gun play and a longer time to kill.

Did there end up being Australian/NZ servers? Or do we have to play in Asia/US?

I had to follow this http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=889517165 to make it playable.

I dont normally play this sort of game but it was good fun. Lots of issues still need to fixed obviously. Got to the last 9 earlier and snuck up on someone hiding in a corner, couple of shots to the head and nothing happened, they just turned and looked at me and then ran off. Turns out bullets dont go through chain link fences at this stage.

Also this is a garbage comparison, it would be like saying "have you never played soccer?" if someone asked what rocket league was like.

I've put 3 hours into it now playing on the asia servers. It's a bit laggy picking things up, and getting in cars, but it seems ok all things considered. Apparently there are plans for oceana servers so things should get better when that happens.

I'm loving it so far, it's like a less clunky version of arma in many ways.

    I'm getting sub 60fps tho, at 1440p ultra on 7700k and GTX1080.

    Good to hear.

I'd love someone to make a slightly less clunky, better performing version of Arma3 King of the Hill. It would be quite funny if someone made a mod for battleground that did it! full circle!

They're working on moving the pressure from CPU to GPU. Aus Servers are also coming next week (apparently). According to devs twitter.
