Yeah the issue they were trying to deal with (I think) was people camping for a couple of minutes during the downtime between circle shifts.... so the downtime is massively reduced but to compensate the circle now moves slower, so it's quite unlikely to chew your ass off.

I still think that one strategy to combat this is to try to aim for the center of the circle each time... if you play the edge there's a 30-40% chance you're gonna get caught out. If you play for the center you'll always be in or close to the new circle.

This is a strategy my team mate and I have been trying this season and we never get eaten by the circle.

I'm in a different time zone and I'm a night owl and play late at night, I noticed about midnight-ish here. Each successive circle was much smaller than before, 3rd circle was about the size of the old 6th circle. Over half the players died from blue zone. I only played 3 games before I rage quit, hopefully they realized the fuck up early and changed it back, like last time.

Yes, it dynamically adjusted the timing and circle size according to how many left, some instances, you had 10 seconds to move to next circle

Another 6 gig update? The patching in this game is out of control.

I know, plus three individual 26 meg updates. Takes me 5 minutes for each 26 megger, let alone the fucking 5 giggers.

the 26mb patches are just anti hack done at least once a day new set of encryption keys etc to try and stay ahead of the hack tools.

Not sure if it's this patch or the event they're running that's killing my performance in Erangel. Last week was getting ~120fps, now 60-70 and it just feels ... off. In the War event I was getting 40-50fps.

The new directional gun sounds are really weird for me, the guns sound terrible but can pinpoint them way better in 3d space. Surprised this wasn't in the patch notes (unless I missed it) but was covered by wtfmoses.

Didn't know they changed sounds. Performance was fine for me last night. Didn't bother with event they r useless and put together terribly.

You used to have to be facing the sound to pinpoint. Especially if the sound was behind you more so gunshots.

They change it to proper 3D processing, easier to pinpoint without turning to face it. Sound still average overall, but step in right direction.
