Who plays these games at high settings? I thought most people generally play them on lowish/competitive settings? I always had a mix of settings for performance and visibility. On the initial loading period on Apex I'd have a slight chug at the start (haven't played in months due to massive update/time consuming) but I also had this on PUBG when it was loading in textures.
I had mine on mostly max last time I was playing (over a year now maybe, probably more). Is it any better now?
I'll try log FPS next time I play. I'm quite particular on things like that, so if they are happening, they aren't in such a way that is noticeable.
I've recently started playing. All max @ 3440x1440 and get ~125FPS from memory. Game runs well but every so often it just comes to a halt and freezes for maybe 5 to 15 seconds then resumes like nothing ever happened...I'm guessing that's nothing like the dips you guys are talking about? Any idea what might cause my ones though?...
Only really played BF4 since it's a fairly fresh reinstall and i hadnt used for ages prior, but nothing in BF4. In the freeze the screen does refresh sometimes i think, but mainly just the same still image iirc. Haven't played enough to recall fully
If Butthole did these last set of updates a year ago, maybe they could have saved the population. Or how about this, BH could have spent the last 2 years building a brand version/game and leave PUBG to die slowly and move forward with better and more game. Even CS has a new version in Global, seems odd to keep polishing a turd.
CS 1.6 was like 12 years old (i played beta 5.2 in like 1999) when CS GO came out... PUBG is what 2.5? I would like to see a new engine though I am sick to death of shooting invisible walls near cover/hills.
New map 2x2 on test now with c4 + destructible walls in spots, a heap of changes.. Also motor glider is out. https://www.pubg.com/2020/01/14/upd...62EnooMxWZn4Q8Z2eSDUXInAehcm-ors_tmebRTk_QhOg
I checked the PUBG page a day ago after 6 months or so, can't believe how vilified it still is for being a broken pile of packet-lost sprites. Almost like BH has done no improvements to it.. >_0
It's come a long way, way better FPS then I used to get. But only so much you can do with UE4.. and nothing comes close to the thrill of final circles.. Maybe Tarkov but thats too much of a inventory management grind. Netcode wise it poops on modern warfare, not hard though haha. Can only get OCE games on squad FPP.. Not sure about TPP, if you play TPP you need a slap.
Man, I haven't played this on mobile since about September. Used to play it almost every day. Stupid job. Might have to re-visit it this weekend.
Mobile is diff devs and so much diff to main game it might as well have a diff name all together. But still good fun on the loo haha.
Looks like I'll have to check this out again. I just moved to the USA so hopefully I can get a game pretty easy on their servers
