Fullscreen or Fullscreen Windowed?
Whats your performance like? I've got an almost identical system with a 1440/144 monitor and will hover between 100 and 144fps depending on environment. I still get a few dips in poorly optimised areas but mostly over 100fps. I dont bother maxing everything out though...
I got that in FX Windowed. I switched to FS and it seemed to be better.
im on Ultra was getting around 55-75 frames at 3440x1440. I was expecting around 100 though.
I reckon the game is losing focus; the video sticks on the last frame when it had focus and the sound continues.
im not quite sure 100% what you meant sorry dude. You think its locking on the last frame of sight focus?
Sounds like the issue I'm having, the screen will lock, but I can still hear people on discord and the ambient PUBG sounds still play, however I don't terminate the App, I wait until it releases me from the Screen lock, which can be up to 3 minutes, (you couldn't rejoin the server in the early days and I wanted to see what happens if i left it)
After that, I never see this issue until the Computer is rebooted
Your specs are way powerful, so I guess this isn't hardware related, however I'm using Win 7 with a Nvidia GFX Card with shadow play enabled and Steam overlay Disabled
Ah yep sounds pretty much what i had.
Not sure about my performance played smooth for the most part. I have my LCD at 80Hz and cant complain. Ill check on YouTube for performance on UW soon.
Bertross-if you have fast internets then you'll have a good time, if it's slow then jus hide in a bush, like me.
So you prob running WIN10+AMD could be issues.
In early days everyone had Crash to Desktop everyday at random times, I did using Z77+1080ti until my ram died, now on Z87+1080ti+WIN7 and all good....PUBG uses ARMA engine so that's XP/VISTA era.
Tried playing on OC, ugh had a 30shot/6 reload potato fight in a house, I wanted to die to get out there from shame, I won with tactics but FM.
I noticed something, on OTHER servers the game clock is faster, like 1 sec real = 0.7 sec game time, as a measure of lag/sync.
OC shows me 1sec = 1sec, although gameplay wise i'm swing for the fences
Hey man yeah my net is pretty good. NBN and usually my ping is under 20.
Ryzen 1700 + 1080Ti = Ultra everything 80-100 FPS while in game.
Also, what program can I use to run a FPS benchmark that doesn't conflict with the game? I had Fraps before and it use to crash my system
Use Steams in game fps counter to get an idea of in-game fps.
Yup i ended up using that in the end.
Haven't played with the new patch but the game is still horribly optimised. 55fps in Mylta on Ultra-Low 1440p on my system is disgusting.
Want that 144 flat.
Patch notes, ~5GB :
Dead wrong about the engine, uses UE4 so not even close to ARMA (thank fucking god)
Can you elaborate on the timing thing? Where are you seeing a clock in-game?
I thought it went ARMA>DAYZ>H1Z1>PUBG...not that I care but for the record..i'll get over it.
STEAM FPS counter doesn't show for me on any games..
CAT-the game clock, the Blue counter...Check the actual time it takes to count 5 or 10 sec and see if your game syncs, mine does in NA or OC only and not all the time..>500ms ping
And WTF do I have to DL another 5GB 2 days after DL'ing 5GB.... PUBG monthly DL.
H1Z1 doesn't use ARMA engine either.
ARMA2 > DayZ, then DayZ went to a new engine based loosely on ARMA called Enfusion.
H1Z1 uses ForgeLight which is also used in Planetside 2.
PUBG is UE4, which is probably the most sensible choice out of all of them.
Isn't DayZ on some other iteration of the engine already? Enfusion massively increased performance at least but that game is dead to me and the reason why I won't buy Early Access games (PUBG was gifted to me).
Apparently FPP stats were tracked all along as well, surprised by how well I'm ranked.
Got a 876m kill today with the Mini + 8x scope. Felt pretty great.
