would run better with 7700k.. tempted to go from 3960x to 7700k (or the next refresh) seems 6 cores will never matter in gaming, all per-core perf.

You 60hz? that's probably why, game is fine for 60fps and thereabouts, seems people with 100hz+ are biggest complainers (inc me)

I am running everything on ULTRA on mine at 2560x1440

The game definately likes CPU usage but mine runs at 4.7ghz

No idea, maybe it favors different hardware/drivers/whatever - but if a game is lagging on a 7700k and a 1080Ti in my case (On a fresh install, latest drivers) then it probably suggests the game has flaws. Especially if i'm not the only one experiencing hiccups as these.

    - Note: When I say lagging, I don't mean continuous shit frames, I can run this at 4k Ultra Maxxed out and still not drop a sweat until certain points where it will drop for a sec or two.

This, the devs have already mentioned that game has inconsistent performance. For some people its been 100% fine from day one. Other users not so much.

The latest patch was primarily targeted at improving minimum FPS on lower-end hardware; this had a nice side-effect of making the game less 'stuttery' which I presume was related to asset load.

Also, don't spend too much time arguing with aokman, he's not real good with the logic and reasoning.

Yup 60hz, never noticed any slow downs except for the usual game lag which is the biggest problem. Everything is clunky from throwing grenades to getting in dam cars.

stick to 60hz 1080p/1440p it makes hardware last much longer and gaming less disapointing on poor ports/optimised games

avoid 4k & 144hz for as long as possible.

But once you see 100+ fps @ 100hz + its like:

lol don't have to worry about that, I only use high end graphics displays not gaming monitors, will never touch a TN panel again lol.

you would be surprised how well some IPS gaming panels do for editing, no 10bit but do pretty well on the colour spectrum once calibrated.

I have tried a few IPS gaming monitors and they were all garbage to be honest, IPS glow was absolutely horrid and backlight bleeding. Waiting for some 40" OLED's to show up :)

Fair enough. You have to look for them to notice bleed on mine and only when dark content. A nice VA panel will do better blacks and no glow and less if any bleed.

Anyway back OT might have to buy this and just deal with low fps, looks too fun.

I'm liking this game, map shrinking stops camping a bit and makes people move.
    I wish it looked better.
I have all settings maxed @4k and get great fps.

I just enable the steam overlay. You can easily disable it.

    • Click on Steam Menu > Settings
    • Go to the In-Game section
    • Click on the In-Game FPS counter menu (default off) and select where you want it to be displayed on your screen:

    Edit:

Or you can enable the fps counter in NVidia shadowplay settings.

titan x pascal, the one where everyone got ripped. nothing better then spending 2k on a card that a $1150 card keeps up with and then re release the titan xp to make your titan x(p) a lot less valuable.

not the titan xp pascal lol

the titan name needs a serious change, its ridiculous.
