    30% CPU speed increase
    2x the GPU power

but still not enough to do true native 4k.

    Bigger native HDD.
Relatively unknown value for 1080P owners though some benefits will apply.
Looks like moderate value increase for 4K owners.

PRetty sure i'll pick one up but waiting for a good bundle.

Will take out that 1TB drive swap with the 500GB SSD from my OG PS4 into it. I don't hoard games on the console, and apart from that with a 1TB cap and 100Mbps cable, i dont really need to

Didn't think SSD made much difference to load times?

Not hugely since its SATA2 interface in the PS4, but i made the mistake of putting in a 7200rpm drive and turfed the original drive. It was like a fking jet engine, so i'd rather have a slightly faster SSD than the storage capacity so opted to get the SSD when i got a new drive for it

You'll get a performance increase for sure and supersampling since the image will be downscaled to 1080p.

Does anyone know if JB does the trade in of an old PS4?

I know EB are doing the deal if you hand in an original PS4, controller and 1 game you get $200 off. So goes down to $350 roughly.

Very tempted to get it. My PS4 is being a bit of a pain at the moment, and I want to watch 4k Netflix and if I'm going to fork out ~$100+ for a Netflix 4k capable device, may as well spend an extra $200 for an updated PS4 with better graphics.

I might wait and see what game developers do for 1080p before trading in and getting the pro.

Only play on 25" IPS Monitor anyway

I'll most likely grab the pro after xmas, spending the coin on PSVR for now.
I'll have to invest in new TV anyway next yeah as the PS4 will have to vacate the lounge and go into the study so I don't wake the baby!

Yeah I don't think they do... Had a read through their website.

Ended up pre-ordering through EB. Rang them too, don't require the box. Just the console, power cable, one controller and a game of any value. Too easy.

Thinking about trading in my standard ps4 for the pro to get better frame rates in FPS games but how would I go about transferring all my data? I know Sony said you can transfer them with an ethernet cable between the two consoles but I won't be able to do that if I trade it in.

Does that include game data? Not keen downloading 40gb+ games again on a poor adsl+2 connection.

It does. Only thing it won't backup iirc is trophies so you jsut need to make sure you sync before you backup. Should do everything else

It's very well implemented on the PS4

    Awesome, thanks jpw007 & Drizz06.

FYI I've never backed up on PS4 before.

I'm a lot more interested in the Pro now that i have the PSVR.

Loving the PSVR, but it's pretty obvious that it could use some more power behind it to improve the graphics. Hopefully, the Pro will help with that.
