Well this is the new PCH.....looks quite good, I'm thinking about upgrading from my A-100.

According to this link around the $400Au mark and arriving in Aus around end of August/early Sept. Who's buying?

I'm not upgrading from my original popcorn box until they implement a better (read: faster, prettier) menu system with some sort of IMDB hookup.

I've looked up that juke box thing but seems to be a pain in my ass.

The C-200 does look damn cool though.

Yeah, I think I will be buying this one.

Sick of burning programs to DVD in order to watch them.

Just as an FYI, you know it is relatively simple to setup a Jukebox menu in the A-100/110 as long as you have a network connected, right?

wouldnt that LCD get annoying when you are trying to watch TV?
very unlikely I'd buy one, see no reason to upgrade from my A100

nope, you can dim it or turn it off completely :)

Im seriously thinking about buying one to upgrade my A-110.

Things going for it in my opinion:

Gigabit Ethernet, can use mini-pci wireless-n card (which will give improved performance over usb wireless-n), 3.5" sata drive just slides in the caddy - no need for screws etc, faster processor, more RAM, better remote layout.

so whats the point of it?

gig ethernet is nice, but 100mbit is fine for streaming anyway, wireless is nice if you dont want cables (irrelevant for me though, mine sits 2m from the router), no need for drives because all my stuff comes of the network anyway.

faster proc and more ram are big things though...

    Already ordered and paid :)

And as for jukebox's, it's not THAT hard, and well worth the effort...

So you can use the PCH without turning on the TV - for things like music/streaming radio :)

OK, curiosity is up... I see 2 potential ways to get region free Blu-Ray on this... Hopefully one of them will work.

    So, *just* out of curiosity...

*If* one would happen to know the distributer, and *if* one could organise a group buy, clearing it with Agg etc... Who would be interested?

    Z...

Edit - OK, spoke to the person I was thinking of, appears they are not the distributer, so.. as you were...

Why would I buy something that has been obviously superceded?

I have only been considering one of these units in the last 6-8 weeks.

Can NMT devices (like Popcorn Hour) be used to browse the web and look at flash movies?

I've just read over the specs and checked in to some of the available addons... and I'm really liking this concept so far.

With a Blu-ray drive installed can it:
    1) Rip discs?
    2) Bitstream HD audio over HDMI from both discs and rips?

I've got a Mediagate MG450HD at the moment.
I'm about to move out, going to put the Mediagate in my room with my 32" Samsung and pick up a C-200 for the loungeroom and my new 50" - going to be awesome!

Does anyone know of any Australian distributors? I'll also have to pick up one of the Wireless addons for it too I think

Late August, if you're lucky ;) PCH haven't started shipping them yet, and the delivery is coming via sea, so it's at least 6 weeks from when they start shipping. Don't worry, I'm in the same boat ;)
