Took today and Friday off work so I can appreciate this game. I don't think I've done something like this for a game before. But I'm still on-call, fingers crossed apps and infrastructure hold up.
Shadows of the Damned: another game I can play thanks to RPCS3! I upped the game's internal renderer to 4K and removed the 30fps cap and it plays at 60fps pretty well... so far
These aren't my "pretty photos" collection. But damn, I love how many CRT monitors show up in this game.
Landed Tuesday, only had a couple of hours in game so far, but loving it. Desperately trying to avoid spoilers because world+dog have all apparently finished it 4 times over. Working dad lyfe.
I'm amazed with the 'no piracy' talk stance of the forum (for good reason) that you can blatantly post pirated games from a PS3 emulator.
I never recall saying that they were and I would never out myself THAT easily. Playing games via emulation isn't illegal IIRC. You made a big jump without a whole lot of information. emulation != piracy.
Of course it doesn't mean it's pirated. I was more referring to comments such as this "another game I can play thanks to RPCS3" which made me think it wasn't acquired legally, since a PS3 is cheap and that game in particular can be purcahsed on ebay for $20 Unless you already own both the game and a PS3, then yeah, fair crack to you. It just seemed from your posts that it was flouting piracy whilst not explicitly stating as such.
You can play PS3 discs directly on your PC via an emulator. That (a) is not piracy, and (b) has been tested in court (see Sony vs "Bleem!"). When you play PSOne and PS2 classics on your PS4 from the PSN Store, that also uses legal emulation. Ditto for NES and SNES classics on Switch. Ditto for XBox and XBox 360 classics on XBox One. Ditto for Megaman Classics Collection on every console and PC. Ditto for Sega Classics on Steam. Emulation is not illegal.
a little while back i played this in VR, I was surprised how much i liked it and how well the combat works. Sword and shield as well as magic are very very satisfying.
I'm well aware of the legality re playing backups and the use of emulation softwares even on consoles. Refer to the second post i responded to, it wasn't highlighted in my initial comment as it didn't seem necessary. I never commented as I assumed it was using a legal method of ones own discs etc, it wasn't until the comment re finally being able to play a game courtesy of an emulator and I know that game is available that it went a bit too close to taking the piss.
Been having lots of fun with this game tonight. Its a new battle royal. Simplified looting mechanics with advanced movement and gunplay. Basically you just loot 2 guns, and 2 abilities, and thats it , all you need to focus on after that is ammo, ability cool downs and gunfights. Its free on UPLAY, its about 9gb in size, and runs on ultra everything really smoothly, oh and the visuals are pretty nice.
