It really is about all the loneliness of if all. The Porters are limited in numbers, it's a dangerous career to have and many don't survive unless they've got Dooms (is that it? Im foggy now), so the only real interaction they would have is structures left by another Porter since they would so rarely cross paths at the same time. It's really well done tbh. I loved it and still love it. Im tempted to buy in PC again to play with even better graphics rather than boot up and try to 100% the PS4 copy
The main theme is connecting and relationships.... because that's what you do: you connect to/with people along your travels.
This all stemmed from comments regarding multi player - it's a lonely world, hence no interaction with other players and why have others visible in an instance doesn't work for this game. It wasnt about the logic of the story mode itself. Was that not obvious in my response? Clearly not.
Fall Guys. Takeshi's Castle inspired battle royale, came out yesterday. This game is a LOT of fun, haven't had to chance to party up yet but can only assume it makes it all the more entertaining.
Blasphemous, now with Stir of Dawn DLC and on Steam sale. This game had me hooked from the beginning, think of Super Metroid and Dark Souls mechanics/lore.
I had some vague memories of playing the original DAH at a friend's place (such controversial titles were not allowed in my house as a kid ) so was keen to give the replay a playthrough. It gets pretty repetitive, the gameplay is simple, and the levels short, but the humour hits a good spot and it's just some good mindless fun. Takes me back to a simpler time for sure.
Gotta say, performance isn't great. getting around 60 at 1440p with textures and object detail set to ultra and everything else on high. Didn't notice a huge performance icrease lowering those 2 settings to high. Still nice to finally play this with a wider FOV and higher framerate than 30fps though.
Been playing bit of RDS lately, Pretty fun, good graphics, tandem drifts are super fun. Could do with some more wheel choices and body kits , and a few more maps. if it had some kind of single player campaign it would be great too.
Picked up Remnant while it is free on EGS. Been meaning to try this for a while but never had a group willing to give it a go.
Started RotTR yonks ago back when it first came out but only got around to finishing it yesterday. Started Shadow today and am having a blast, this game is such a step up from the previous in many ways, especially in the visual department.
Black Mesa for me. Not disappointed, every bit as jump-scare-worthy as the original but the visuals are great in comparison.
