You're obviously not a Disney+ subscriber. Me too. I like to consider games based on what they brought me overall, not just counting the hours played. Same reason I don't play Gatcha mobile games, Fortnite, or grindy Japanese RPGs, even if they're low cost and/or free. I just completed "Silent Hill 2" in around 10 hours. First and only play through, will never play again. For the dollars I spent, it's "bad value per hour". For the amazing story told and atmosphere it offered, worth every penny. I loved RDR2. I loved Silent Hill 2 even more, despite it being a fraction as long. As they say, it's not the length, but it's what you do with it. I can show you a few 1000+ hour games you'd hate, too. My personal thoughts: I don't care what a game costs, and I don't care how many hours it takes to play. These are not the metrics I used to consider the "value" of a video game.
Hahaha no I am not haven't looked into it, I am guessing from your comment its not cheap? lol All good points. I suppose for me though, its not about caring about the value of the game, more so the price sets an expectation of what I should get out of a game. I don't think Mafia lived up to MY expectation. Was it fun? Sure but I felt it was too short and more importantly felt like the description was deceptive. I can't access it at work but in the games description it said something about moving up the ranks of the mafia world. Its simply a lie, you don't move up the ranks. You join the mafia and stay in the one role until the end. I thought it would be more open world (gta4) than it's very linear story line. And look a lot of that is on me. I should have done more research before purchasing but again at that price point I had set my expectations a lot further than what was delivered. Everyday is a school day. I knew there was a reason I hadn't played any of the series before. Now I remember
Might have been a COVID thing (trying to make up for cinema losses), but they released movies on Disney+ and still charged $30 for them on top of the subscription price. I was on the fence about the service before then, but that cemented my decision to not bother. It's October my man. Scary games only. Silent Hill 2 complete, on to Resident Evil VII.
just bought AC:O as it was cheap, have to say damn its a pretty game poor pirate getting chewed on by "bruce"
after finishing Origins I really wanted to like this but just wow, i just clocked out after a while when i realised how much content there was. Resi 7 - so want to play in VR! also come on Majora's Mask is kinda horror adjacent
Just finished up RE7, I found myself frustrated by the game's mechanics on more than one occasion as the game leads you by the tail. Still some cool moments. Doesn't do proper UW out of the box but luckily it's easy enough to do on the steam version (No bueno on the Windows store ver).
Probably going to be spamming this thread in the coming weeks with my break but... sorted out the camera mod for Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Haven't touched a compiler in years lol. Crysis x MGS vibes with the aesthetic at the moment.
Mate you get a thumbs cause at least you mention what game you are actually posting pictures, unlike some of these other muppets
Loving this game at the moment. Mafia Definitive Edition. I never played the original so the story is all new to me. Grafix are amazing.
Having fun with the verticality of UW when rotated now. Unfortunately I'm starting to get deathly bored of the game now (Shadow of the Tomb Raider), apparently I'm 2/3 of the way through so will stick it out.
Thought I would start Doom Eternal on the 3080 @ 4K. Haven't played with settings yet. Had to resize image to be able to post it here.
Found a Null portal just now... But was no where NEAR ready for the world beyond. This Risk Of Rain 2 game is the best fucking game in the world, hands down.
