Baba Yaga was a pretty cool DLC, a nice optional story.

Yeah it had a good story and some interesting gameplay elements. Definitely didn't feel like a half baked add-on.

Just finished up the main campaign of Sunset Overdrive and onto the DLC now. This game somehow snuck past me and I knew nothing about it but picked it up in a steam sale after thinking it looked cool in the trailer. Awesomely fun game with cool movement and combat. The first gun you get is named the flaming compensator and is pretty much a dick and balls, that's a tone that the game follows the whole way through :D

I've been enjoying New World, but goddamn do they need a pass on the UI, the game looks fantastic with it off, then you turn it on and all the elements are too big and prominent. Reducing the chat font size goes a long way, but the rest of the UI is still far too big and dominant. Really hoping they have some changes coming there /threadcrap

Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition. Sure can be stunning at times. This isnt even maxed.. DLSS + DXR is great in it. I look forward to a few generations away when this would be the standard for open world games.

Yeah, I played through this twice just for the visuals, one of the best looking games in recent times imo.

This constantly rates high in both "real people" and journalistic reviews, yet never seems to get the love it deserves. I think it gets lost somewhere in the endless blah of COD/PUBG/Fortnite/Doom and people don't realises it's none of these, but rather something pretty unique.

And, you know, it's not all DLSS/DXR so nobody cares, because who even needs gameplay, right?

Glad to see it get some love.

I personally just got annoyed with the protect the vats missions, its just unenjoyable and feels like it forces you out of the fun dynamic of the rest of the game.

typical elvis rant, plenty of non technical masterpiece games get the love they deserve. Plenty of praise for it on steam reviews.

"Plenty" is relative. The disease that is pretty games getting more attention than good games didn't start with Steam or even PCs. It's been a problem since video games existed.

Typical elvis rant? Your damned right. This has been a bugbear of mine for close to four decades, and will continue to be one for another four, I'm certain.
