Been plugging away at the Surge 2 on PS4 via PS5 as another foray into the 'stamina action game' genre. Picked it up on sale on disc for $9. Runs at a nearly 4K at a flat 60. It feels far more fluid than the first that's for sure and much more refined combat wise. Definite PS4 code limitations in place for somethings with texture pop at times but it's running old code so that's understandable.

Bit disappointed I there is no rogue industrial machinery like in the first one but given the story progression from the first that's not surprising.

Had a play with the Metro mod for Cyberpunk which aids to reinstate the originally planned working Metro. I can see why it was cut, it presents draw distance and texture pop in challenges with so much on screen and a game with so many assets, it also loses some of the feeling of density. It does show off some of the great road and walkway system and efforts to flesh out the map vertically, unfortunately the photo mode is a little crippled whilst on the metro. It's better without it as it stands but worth a look to see what may be in the future with even more powerful technology and hardware to render massive assets into the horizon. I have barely seen a bug in this game but whether it was the mod or just my viewpoint I did get to see the underground metro train break free from the earth and carriages fly through the city, couldn't get a good photo though.

I wish we had a standard HDR format that would work in here. This game did a cracking job of it.

I'd post my 3840x1080 pix but they look like panorama previews on here.

Been flogging the PC this calendar year. Have pushed thru a number of titles, the latest being Horizon Zero Dawn on PC, yesterday. Phenomenal game.

Also finished Black Mesa, HL2 + both Ep 1 & 2 (again), all 3 Tomb Raider reboots, and the best of them all, God of War 4.

i don't think anyone really thought it was "bad" per se, just not as good as what it followed.
