Telstra finally caught on and is charging me for HD/Sport... Was a good run.
Funny thing is I don't think they really care so much.
they are starting to. apart from sport, places like netflix have really hurt them financially overall.
Well I certainly hope so, they needed a good kick up the backside to get the competition ball rolling.
It's just I see a certain arrogance from companies trying to resist change.
they are still arrogant due to the fact they have blackballed sport and they still have alot of people on lockin contracts but give that a few years and thing swill change.
its time for change. time to allow us to select just sport and not have to have bunch of entertainment shit that never sees the light of day
People have been wanting this for years now. I firmly believe the day will come when they are forced to restructure their delivery of these services, people want flexibility and they now have more choice.
it will come yes in the mean time they are milking this titty bone dry.
wish more people would stand up faster to get the change to happen sooner than later
It'd end up costing heaps more.
The thing is so far people have proven to them that they will pay for the base just to get the sport, so they'll keep it like that
only because you are totally blackmailed into it
you literally have no choice
MR chilled i have read over on OZbargain some people getting $26 in HD for sport instead of $39 when they try to cancel
The last two times (3 months apart) i went to cancel i got the sports pack for Nix
yeah that would be great if i had foxtel solely.
mine ( basic entertainemnt ) was actually forced with the $99 Cable broad band bundle. so at best im guessing i should be able to swing $26
im pretty much getting the basic pack for free so i dont mind as much coughing up $26 for sport
The current ends on the 13th so we will see if the great deal can continue
Yeah it seems to be a bit all over the place in terms of what discounts people can get. Good luck!
I wonder whether it's like car salesmen where they have a quota and if you go at the end of the month, you might get a good deal from somebody who is down on their quota.
Has fox news always been free?
"if you download the Foxtel Play program, open it then click live tv - it will automatically start streaming Sky News"
Yes, same on Foxtel Go without login too
I've been recycling the Foxtel play promo for the last 3 months, 1 month free with every channel. Comes to an end on the 11th of May for me and promotions run out now.
Will keep an eye out for some more codes and post up here if I find them.
I always try to keep an eye out for the channel promotions where they do a channel for free for current subscribers for a month. They are pretty good ...haven't seen one in a while though.
