I think this thread should need to be renamed to "post your stream/channel", to allow advertising of other platforms. I'm sure it wasn't exclusive to Twitch on purpose.

That being said, I've got myself up and running on Mixer. https://mixer.com/CAPT_Irrelevant

How are you finding Mixer? I'm intrigued but I don't think I'm ready to make the leap.

I've not done any streaming on it yet, but have a couple of times watched a friend who is based in the US. I find its performance far more fluid and stable.

I've streamed a bit on mixer this past week. The stuff chatters can do natively without bots and extensions is great

Fire it up and just jump into a game. It's a slow road. Learn to get comfortable on stream while no one is watching/viewership is low.

Most people aren't dropping in in the first 15-20 mins when you're fresh. Not much point running extended intros just get right into it

Best advice I can give after doing this thing for 2 and a half years is make sure you enjoy the game you're playing. most people don't wanna see someone be bored or frustrated for 4 hours.

My main issue is being able to chat during the stream.

So I don't have anyone to just hop into the twitch chat and talk to me. So no surprises there!

I've streamed twice so far and I think it's gonna take a while just to get used to being watched haha.

a big streamer once told me the hardest part is your first 100 followers, from there it starts to get a bit easier, im at 130 atm and its going slowly but surely. its all about consistency. some people play only one game and build a community around it, some ar emulti game. the multi game might find it a bit harder as you will find some people will only watch certain games. i do a bit of both, the majority of my followers play/watch escape from tarkov. networking is also a good thing to do, a few big streamers from eft know who i am and helping each other helps. always raid people and shoutout those that help you. give them recognition, helps both you and them.

i try and laugh and talk along even if its only me in the channel. people might check out your vod's, i have a fair few lurkers come into my channel cause i lurk in a few others where i can. every number helps. make stream titles interesting and eye catching. (clickbate a bit if you can) to draw in the crowds. some hate this but playing with the ttv tags is free advertising. ive gathered 40 or so followers just from them killing or i kill and they come check my channel out.

its all about providing entertainment and having fun. eventually you will get numbers. i think my average viewage is around 3-4 atm, but there are streams where im getting up to 10 or so give or take. so its slowly getting better as time progresses and people learn my name.

ttv tags are a mixed bag, had a lot of people come into the channel to be ***** but also met some great people who I now keep in touch with a lot
