+1, sad to see this end. Was an awesome build
tell me about it...
Thanks for the kind words guys. Yeah it was finished and I was really happy with it but I'm sure most people in the water cooling scene would agree with me that you never are completely happy with your build and you're always wanting to change things. I really would have liked to have finished the 2nd build but along with losing my job and a couple of other things I'm just not in a position to continue with it and the future maintenance it would involve.
It has been awesome though and I'm sure I'll be back sometime in the future
My condolences . Next time if aint broke don't fix it
Then at some point you just say "ah screw it!" then you sell it all and go back to something basic; I think we've all done that.
Yup we have all been there
My current build is going way over budget lol.
It may get finished it may not lack of funds right now
Not to sure if i can get the cash
Still have around 800 to spend and i dont have 800 right now
Young people these days, i dunno... more money than sense
Sorry to hear about your computer and job Jay.
It's all good life experience that'll serve you well further down the track and in future builds .
I'll wager there's a new converge build around the end of July or early August!
good game jayy, good game.
Although its time may be over, it'll still go down as one of the best TJ07 projects OCAU has ever seen.
Look forward to seeing what you can do with that new case (wont say in case its a surprise).
Don't worry matt, we'll get you through it.
i think if jay doesnt have this finished in two weeks he'll probably quit computers all together.
I've already picked out an iMac
Nahh all good. Just need to sell a few things and then get the new gear. I may or may not log the build...
only if you promise an entire gallary of new shots.
I'm pretty sure I have some of the originals of the pics of killer penguin. I got kinda lazy towards the end though and stopped archiving the originals. Let me know if you want anything specific.
I'm hoping this build isn't going to drag out too long so a worklog will probabaly be pointless. It might just be a candidate for the case gallery. We'll see...
yeh, i'm starting to think i should do the same with mine...
Build log for an iMac?
Equipment for this build:
That's the only constructive thing I can think of to do with iMacs too!
The new iMac Murdermods might be attached?
BTW, Did you end up getting the HW GTX 480 rad? I only ask because I doubt it would fit in a TJ07 anyway...
haha a murdermod imac. that could be a cool mod, it's such a shame macs are such pieces of crap
nah i didnt end up getting the rad, the store i ordered it from which was in the uk quoted me a really good price on shipping and then came back saying they couldn't send it for that much and it would be a fair bit more so i pulled out.
I've seen it starting to spring up in other stores though, maybe you can get it somewhere else down the track...
How did you fit that res holders screws into that hole? you drilled it out, or did the screws that came with those MM res holders actually fit through?
Mine seem to be abou 2 or 3 mm bigger than the hole.
