Finally got started on a new project last night that has been in the works for quite a while but "life" kept on getting in the way.

But I have the opportunity to get stuck into it this saturday, so I decided to get the initial prep work done so I can get to the fun stuff quicker.

Sorry for the crap phone photo quality, I'll get proper camera ones from here on.

Case taken apart, sanded, prepped and put back together.

Masked Up and ready for paint.

Painted with a new black base coat. The plastic front was given a good coat of 2K sealer before the base coat because the plastic does not like thinners based paints at all.

Added some texture/pattern to the case.

Thanks for looking. I'll get some more progress shots up over the weekend.

It's done with "marbleiser", most auto paint brands have their own name for it but its a paint pigment in solution that stays wet for a longer period of time so you can make cool effects with it.

    Thanks!

Unfortunately today I forgot to take my camera with me, so there are only crappy phone pics for this update.
I also forgot (yeah, I know) to take pics between each colour so all I have is the finished product.

Window side with a bit of silver and then green and blue candy fade on top.

Other side outside, and inside under different lighting.

Will have it clear coated tomorrow and then I can start on the insides.
    Thanks again for looking.

But your are an artist. That sets you apart from doing something to a case.
I applaud effort. But beautiful that's something you can not easily earn.

Put your spin on it man. Sexy I'm waiting :weirdo:

Got it out of the booth this evening with clear coat all nicely shiny. So shiny it was difficult to get the lighting right in the pictures without them being washed out or have too many reflections.
Though I did use the proper camera this time (excuse the ghetto backdrop).

All put back together with windows still in the plastic.

Hopefully I'll have some time tomorrow evening to start installing hardware and glowing stuff.
Thanks again for checking it out!

Had some time today to finish this off, so here it is.

Donor PC and a bunch of bits. (Some of you might recognise the donor from here).

Everything taken out of the old case and swapped into the new.

Added some critters. There's some spare space because I have more creatures on the way.

    All turned on.

Thanks for the support guys!

I do actually have a brand new aquarium still in box that the plan has always been to do a mineral oil build, and I do have some old skt775 stuff laying around..... Maybe next time.
But this one was a "maintenance free" re-build for the missus. (Meaning that I'm the one that has to clean the dust filters.)
