ah nice mate good work..
Lookin Schweet dude!
wow that is very nice
Looks good, still not going with a DVD drive ?
and only thing to pick not that you would see it once in cabinet is to move the join on the rubber edging to the middle of a straight section, then look just like a profsional finish
It'll be the only (working?) DVD player that doesn't actually play DVD's.
dvd drive plans are on hold as i only want to put a slim line slot drive in and i have no money to spend spent $20 on the whole mod as had all the parts lying around.
yeah i realised the mistake i made with the rubber edging.. after i super glued it on
Great mod, very clean.
Had any luck with the game pad? I would be very interested in how you set that up. I have a HTPC now, but just a small pc case... nothing works without the remote and or plugging in a KB and mouse.
(the kids manage to lose the remote almost every day too)
you can use this great piece of software to map buttons on a controller to keyboard commands
How did you get the brass standoffs to attach to the MDF? I would have thought the pitch of the standoffs' threads would be too fine to grip the MDF?
no probs at all. just drilled a smaller hole and then screwed the stand off in. very stable and solid
what type of cpu are u using, could not find the specs of the system in any of the posts - or maybe im just going blind? :S
aah sorry, its an athlon xp 2100+
