hehe. not going your way today haha.

I got my 480 feser brand spanking new and it comes banged an ddinged and i bought a feser 240 3rd hand without i spec of dust on it :p

But yeah definitely complain to who you bought it from.

Where was it btw? I thought nobody in Aus stocked feser anymore.

PS: IF you really want that 920 that badly...

    you can buy mine.

    I'd say for good reason.

on a side note its not going to affect performance and your not going to be able to notice it since its down the bottom; your only concern would probably be resale value.

ps what hdd cage are you planning on using for the hdds?

I really like the look of the SR1. (hopefully they'll be much better quality)

    Well that'd explain it.

I strongly recommend against buying something as fragile as a rad (more specifically the fins) from overseas where its bound it get thrown around and probably dumped under shit load of boxes.

    Er...

    http://www.thekoolroom.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=41_43&product_id=109

    local ftw.

    EDIT:

Just remember that the 5.25" bay covered take up the three 5.25 bay device mounting holes closest to the case so if you want to mount it all the way bay into the bay you have to remove the front cover or otherwise mount it vertical.

They are a good rad, i had one ages ago, cooled a dual PCB 295 and an C0 stepped I7 @ 4ghz very easily.

Needs decent fans though, i used 2000rpm Ultra Kaze's personally.

Don't get the sr1 unless you're planning on using sub 1000rpm fans, anything higher would be wasted on it. The reason you can't buy feser in aus is because they are no longer making the xchanger series rads. For 1850 gts you should be looking at a thermochill. For lower speed fans you should look at an rx360. For 2000rpm and higher you should look at a hw labs gtx.

Jayy there is more to it then just there not making the xchanger rad anymore

Gam was supposed to be the only distributor in Au then they went to PCCG then PCCg got sick of dealing with them because they were fucking pccg around so pccg gave up.. that's why they were no longer AVL in AU but still in USA

I think you might be thinking of the GTX, the SR1s are quite new, and supposed to be much better with low RPM fans. Plus they look sexy :weirdo:

Yeah thats what i was just thinking as well, i purchased it from chilledpc when they were still operating.

Wasnt a bad radiator though. AussieRevhead would be able to tell you as he brought it from me for 60 bucks with the 3 fans from memory.

Actually I'd say the XSPC RX rads are the best in terms of quality, performance and looks.

For low - mediuam speed fans yes. For medium - high speed no.

For best performance get a hw labs gtx and some 38mm sanyo denkis.

I never buy anything from Sidewinder any more, I ordered so much stuff from there and about %65 of it had small amounts of damage. When I told Gary about it first off he implied that I didn't buy it from his shop, second he implied that I used tools on the fittings I was complaining about.

I swear that some of the stuff I bought from there wasn't new eh.

Basically he just turned into a horrible little bean counter. Just don't shop there unless it's something virtually unbreakable like screws or brackets etc...

I saw some fittings at Sidewinder that no one else had, so I just emailed Performance PC's to order them in for me. If I had of ordered them from Sidewinder, they would have arrived in a 'factory Seconds' condition & for the money we Aussies have to pay for everything basically, it's just not on.

The paint job on the Feser rads is very thin, they claim it helps with heat transfer. Funny how it also keeps costs (for them) down. They're a decent rad but the finish on them is a weakness, I'm thinking of painting mine later on.
