PS3 Deals?

hmmm thanks. I suppose it boils down to how much buying a 160gb and a bigger hdd will cost versus the 320gb at $427... Do I even need one? No. Still thinking about it? Yes. What's wrong with me?

Damn, the bloody thing doesnt come with a HDMI or component cable, what a joke!!. Whats the go with pricing of HDMI cables. I see some for $2, $10. and some for $40 - $50. Should i just buy an el cheapo?

 

Yes. They are no different. Just make sure they are version 1.3 or later in compliance so they handle HD bitstreaming and 3D.

Nice pricing right there. Wonder what shipping is? I got mine from Big W for $298. Suppose i ll buy some games soonish, just using it to stream movies from my pc at the moment.

 

Those prices aren't showing up for me. Still has $349 for the 160gb and $449 for the 320gb.

 

Their sale must be over.

Yep, Big W seems to be the cheapest place to buy the PS3 at the moment. Actually went there yesterday, and saw that deal as well. Seems to beat nearby competitors by a mile.

 

Sounds like most other companies have also dropped the price to 298 to avoid having to beat the price by 5% or whatever their in store rules are. I would guess its not going to get much cheaper than that.

 

Mind boggling compared to when the console was released at. Given the phat one I have here with a 40 gig drive which now appears to have a buggered blueray player, it will be easier and more cost effective to buy a new one. Sony want $200 odd dollars or was it $250 for me to drop it in (2 hour drive each way) to replace the blueray player. $48 gets me a brand new one with warranty.

Good one Sony. This is for my son, if I had my way I would tell you to jam it.

 

Harvey Norman, Game and EB all had this for $297 or thereabouts at Knox last night. I might go buy one today so my brother can have his back.
