that code has expired
I got a PS3 from Dicksmith yesterday. My old one was dieing, constantly skipping on Blurays particularly (where my PC BD player never had issues).
$250 as it was the display case one (only one left). Was never turned on though.
Is $250 for a 160gb slim brand new considered a good deal?
Yeah, lowest so far for bare bone.
yeah i got it $250 at HN on 27/12, havent seen cheaper.
Cool, thanks for that - might have to go for it.
Do KMart price match or anything? I got a bunch of Coles Myer gift vouchers so will probably grab one from there. Myer doesn't seem to sell consoles.
Yep, with conditions.
Let us know how you go with the HN receipt. I have a feeling they won't match it since the price was for Xmas special
I have a family friend who can get me that price, but I may need to try the HN route. Will report.
So whats the best deal now that HN have put prices back up to $290?
I did a bit of price matching to see what I could get. Using NewKleer's receipt as ammunition (thanks!) I tried Dick Smith, EB Games and Harvey Norman in Chatswood.
Dick Smith wouldn't budge from $349 (even though they were the ones who originally had the deal!) EB Games would have done it in the same month of purchase and Harvey Norman wouldn't match it, but would do it for $265, down from $276 which they still had plenty of on display:

I will probably grab one this week and will put up the receipt for everyone.
HN had them for $265 or EB?
Edit: Sorry, helps to zoom the photo in!
Harvey's said they do it for $265.
So I went to HN today and bought a PS3, but they wouldnt budge on the $276, which isnt too bad anyway.
Good deal. I got a 160gb, 22in TV, hdmi cable, extended warranty and two games for a touch under $500. Very happy.
i think i might get a PS3 from harvey norman $276 for 160gb slim model.
Pay $12 more and get a HDMI cable and two year warranty...
