I wish someone would take my White Zombie and Offspring CDs away from me. What the fuck was I thinking?

the SSD's in these devices concern me, Microsoft already lock hard drives down and I have this feeling the ssd will be soldered to the mainboard of the XBox SX and PS5.

yet they still have value as you can sell them!

Does anyone remember the feature on the PSX? pretty sure it was a Demo CD that came with it, you would load it up first then chuck in whatever music CD you had and it would have fancy visuals in queue with your music.

I remember as a kid thinking that was pretty neat.

So far so good with Sony. PS3 and PS4 were both user upgradable. Fingers crossed they give us M.2 NVMe in PS5.

As much as I love Microsoft's superior commitment to backwards compatibility, their non-upgradable hard drives shit me to tears.

Why would I want to subject anyone else to that? I'm not that cruel.

Was just the build in CD player's visualiser.

    Ahahahahahahaaaa!!!!

Take the most mathematically improbable thing to ever occur in all of time and space itself and then realise the chance of the PS5 playing the discs has less chance than that.
While they’re at it, it’ll play UMDS, and Vita cards too!

If it plays ps1,2,3 4 and 5 discs, I’ll buy you many, many beers.

After I get me a couple of PS5’s

If it doesn’t do them all, I will take a single corona!

Wouldn't necessarily have to play the discs, but maybe just recognize them for what they are and download a digital version of the game to play it..

Umds probably could be done easily as cds. Although PS4 doesn't support cds. Not sure yet about ps4. At least there will be PS4 compatibility apparently.

Would be great if you could buy a USB vita card adaptor.
