played a few rounds this morning... loved it.

Back to my roots (well not really, i miss quake 1 and the intro of 3dfx that blew everyones minds) but it's fun and much better than the doom MP.

Pulled the trigger too early, figured 30 seconds after posting

But, I can't play anyway? Says it's closed and not open until the 12th? Weekend only playing, eh?

Fun enough but not a fan of the "abilities" and I experienced weird hit detection a lot. I'd get direct shots that weren't registering even though I had 8ms ping.

Am I the only one struggling with people warping and stuttering all over the place and killing you behind corners?

I watched US and RUS streams and it's not even remotely that bad for them.
I am on NBN and had very little issues two beta iteration before but each next would make it worse.

The graphics look like egg white smeared poo. Everything on Ultra. Is this the style theyre going for, or perhaps an issue on my end?

Been watching a few streams of this lately, fired up the old Q3A and its fun, but Im starting to come round to this Champions thing. Might have to break out the wallet soon.

I got it the other day. Absolutely love it as a fast paced arena shooter but the queue times are horrific. I'm chalking it up to being early access and no marketing for it yet but 15-30mins for a match is absurd

Yea Ive seen some of the wait times for games. Im worried about being in the Oceanic ping zone and how bad it will affect things. How is the wait time for DM ?

Oh.. so it does actually work. I always gave up after quite a few minutes, assuming it was broken. Kudos for sticking it out 15mins ;)

I queue for all modes - worst time I've had is 20mins, best is 2-3 mins

Just DLed this for the free week, jumped right in to a match and was strafe jumping with crazy speed circles around other players and owning them

Pretty fun and captures the speed and adrenaline of the original Quake and Quake 3

I've only played it enough to play the intro 1v1 match, but is there an option for bots so I can get my rhythm back before I jump online and get absolutely punished by the 12yo's out there?

I don't know if 12 year olds are equipped for this. Modern shooters don't have this type of rhythm so the oldies may be in a better place.

Yep definitely fun enough for my liking. I mean I was never great and missed the boat on any Quake game MP but they still feel really comfortable and it's like coming home.
