Little QX6850 action on single stage phase change with Gigabyte GeForce 8800GTS 320MB
Heres some results on air along with a QX6850 at 4420Mhz on a single stage cooler, managed to pick up a few points on Hwbot.

Strange how my Q6600 @3.2ghz + 8800GTS640mb gets an odd 100 points or so more in 3DMark06 :D

yeah that run is a bit odd

i get that score...touch faster with Q6600@3.7Ghz and 649/999 on card.....doubt the extra card clocks would make that much difference with soo much less on CPU

my old 8800gts started working again w00t :D

gotta hookup the BB on the quad and push the card to see if i can get any points for HWBOT hehehe :D

might be because you GTS is the 640Mb card, mines only the 320MB.
Also i had the clocks a little too high set on the 8800 which game me slower results. If i back them off get better results

Yeah i thought the 3DMark06 was a bit low to,i have only got my qx6700 overclocked at 3.2ghz with my 8800gtx overclocked a small amount, and i got a score yesterday of around 14880,i would of expected a cpu clocked that high would of got close to 20k.

    640MB GTS
and GTX cards score more points

what's the deal with people saying it's too low when they are not comparing apples with apples

Yeah for sure,i know there different cards,it's just that i was a bit shocked because i would of expected a cpu clocked at nearly 4.5ghz to score a really high score, the graphics card must make more difference than the cpu with 3DMark06.

don't be shocked because what you suggested is HARD with SLI cards

Yeah but if kayl hooked up a 8800gtx,he would have to get a lot better score than my 14800 because my cpu is only clocked at 3.2ghz,i can't remember exact but when i submitted my results to the futuremark yesterday, they said the highest score to date is around 26000 or might of been a bit more, that system had a qx6850 clocked at around 5ghz with sli 8800gtx cards, that's why i was thinking that kayls score would of been around at least 1800 anyway.

Interesting to see how kayls system goes with an 8800gtx.

Yeah i think that bench *might* be gpu limited lol. Seeing as my mere q6600 stops giving better 3d06 benches past 3.2 with 8800gts640.

That's some seriously amazing hardware. Lol, id never actually get anything done... be too busy overclocking :)

i got 1.4 points on HWBOT for this cards section with that run, so no too bad

with my XT850 i only got 2-3k with 4.6ghz on the quad core. So i think the acutal graphics card makes the scores better not so much the cpu frequency

That's right i had my cpu at 3.3Ghz,i followed your template for the ASUS Blitz Formula on your site http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?t=4314 and the graphics card i overclocked the gpu to 611 i think.
One thing i have learnt from kayls thread is that cpu doesn't seem to make as much difference as the graphics card when it comes to 3DMark06.

Here is is my specs,i was using windows xp pro with the 163.44 nvidia drivers.

    Took some screens

    what driver are you using

    nevermind saw the driver

eva will have to rerun as he uses an earlier one i think which will most likely explain the difference

    12.6k seems low doesn't it?

I am getting not much less on a dual core e6600 + 8800 gts system

And my system is totally orthos + ati tool stable and I game on it no problems.
