i'd do it if it has an actual use or actual effect.
If your working with largish video files, you can certainly use additional ram. However these days 32Gb is generally pretty good, however, as the video showed, in certain situations like encoding/finalizing video, larger ram had a direct benefit of making it faster 15% over 16Gb and ~8% over 32Gb.
There is much more of a ceiling with AMD. In the big dimms there is no fast ram at all really.
It was $130 a set of 32gb last night, picked them up for a friend.

Nice, well done! I haven't received mine yet, still sitting on the same status. Looks like probably any day now though
I'd have paid the extra for at least c16-3200. RAM is so cheap at the moment, with the exception of B-Die.
Is he on the red or the blue team? Was it 4x8 or 2x16?
2x16. He is using i3-8100
Mine arrived yesterday. Now I need to get the other parts for the build.
Grrr, no updates on mine this morning, sigh. What other parts are you waiting on?
Need everything else
I think I am going matx Ryzen 5000 build. I am waiting for the new CPUs to be released before ordering the CPU and motherboard. Also waiting on the AMD GPUs. Will either get something AMD or the GTX 3060 once that is released.
Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x16
^^ Good news! Looks like nice ram.
Will be nice when it actually comes through for me, sigh.
Shouldn't be long now
That was the elcheapo $130 for my buddy
The Crucial is much nicer. I don't know if it's just in my head but my system feels smoother
Holy shit....finally it's arriving today
One problem though.....sigh.....might have to rotate the pump on the X62 AIO.....I'm going from two sticks of ram to four so the pump outlets are going to get in the way of the first ram slot. Damn.
Arrived and installed : )
Super close fit!
here i am on 64gb wanting 128 for after effects projects
Well what are you waiting for? Ram is cheap Go for it!
new AMD cpus

Yeah I saw that also, couldn't find timings for it and was a bit confused as it's PC3600 ram but capable of 4400MHz at XMP2.0? I dunno, wasn't sure.
