Ram voltage

    For some reason, my bios , every now and again after 're boot , decides to drop my ram voltage from 1.45 ( which it should be in XMP) to 1.35 .
    It won't boot then and I have to go into bios and manually change voltage back to 1.45 .
    Any ideas why and what I can do so bios keeps it at the right voltage.
    Strange one and took a bit of time to work out what was going on .

    Check to make sure little battery (CR2032) on motherboard is still good. Supposed to last about 10 years or something but I have had one Shaaaaat.

    Seems a long shot .board is a newish model.

    If the kit is on QVL I would contact Asus support and see if this is a BIOS issue.

    Long shot but for me if ram overclock is not stable motherboard voltages can change and I cant boot. Tried memtest86 on your system when ram overclocked....check no errors

    Gone into everything buddy.
    The board does not like 4400 ram which runs @ 1.45v which is high .
    If I had bought B die which runs @1.4v for this, I would have been fine.
    I tried saving $ by going for hynix which was a mistake at this speed .
    Live and learn and 2 sticks @ 4420 is still faster than most .
