fuck soy milk, mrs buys Zymil - shit tastes like actual milk i just use it because it's there. lac free. I assume this is a lac free thing? Added bonus, much longer shelf life.

    Thanks for the lectures.

I picked up 1L of Australia's own 'barista' soy milk at Coles tonight. As with all soy milk it looks pretty gross but this stuff had no dirt flavour at all so I guess that's a win.

Definitely willing to test out other soy milk recommendations if anyone has input.

Bonsoy is the go to for soy milk in coffee. It’s about $5 a litre though.

Do not use soy milk. It's pure unfermented soy which is nothing but anti-nutrients. It should be illegal or classed as poison. If you need to, have almond milk. I'd choose neither.

I used to buy that too until I wised up to the lactose free milk at aldi which is the same shit significantly cheaper.

Bonsoy is usually available at Woolies, but yeah it's north of $4. Try out Vitasoy Calcium (purple label) - the rest of the Vitasoy isn't much good, but this one was always decent in my coffees at home. Would stock up when it was on sale for $2/L (I'd buy boxes of it, and often have over 30L at home in stock). I'd also have So Good with the dark blue label, but the one from the fridge, not the long life one, and that was for cereal only not for coffee as it tended to split.

Oh, and almond sucks - too watery. I had some great oat milk in France a couple of weeks ago, was in a grey box but can't remember the brand. Had a nice pistachio latte the other day here in Saigon, but not really an every day one as it was kind of 'desserty'...

Oatmilk is good in coffee if you're open to that, for soy I use Vitasoy milky but haven't used it in coffee (since I only usually buy barista made since I dont drink it often). As a soy milk it is good though for cereal etc so it might work well.

All the soy taste like shit anyway. The shit power mentioned is actually the only decent alternative for those lactose intolerant.

I have enjoyed Almond milk in the past - never really dug Soy milk as an adult - which is strange because that's what I had when I was a kid!

Taste is subjective... Sometimes it takes a bit of getting used to but when you drink it enough it's fine. Some brands are definitely better than others though.

My biggest problem with soy milk besides taste is that it will be coming out of my rear end as soon as I drink it. Not a good experience.
