    What OS?

Have you tried Windows Shadow Copy?

Right click on the directory where the files were located, then properties, then select "previous version" from the tabs.

    a bit more info

    i have tried this software

    rstudio
    ontrack
    getdataback

all come up with the same, I can't see the files that where deleted.

OS> Win 7 Pro connected to a domain, local backup is non existent.......don't ask.
when files got deleted the PC was not used again, it was turned off.

I have usually had great success with the above software for file recovery but this time the files can't be found.

Deep scan from R-Studio looking for the file types you want is my suggestion.

Failing that, accept their loss and sell them a backup solution.

I've found GetDataBack to be excellent on the two occasions I've required it.

Easeus Data Recovery has an option specifically for recycle bin.
Alternatively I rate GetBackData very high.
