I'm still in the intro/tutorial, only took an hour and a half to install from disc but it was way too late last night to keep going... Seems good so far

It's good. It's not going to totally blowyourmind. It's still a game. It's like rdr1 with graphics from now. The gameplay feels the same to me.

Perhaps I'll feel different once I can actually free roam. Still stuck in the frozen area doing tutorial type stuff I assume. Itching to free roam, dress as a gentleman gambler and the like.

Only an hour or so in and I must say I am really enjoying it.
I didn't play the first one, and I wouldn't have picked a Western as a genre of game I'd enjoy, but this bundle happened to come up when I was buying another X1X so I thought I'd give it a wack.
Looks mint at 4k on 75"... great fun.

Grabbed a white X1X, RDR2, Forza Horizon 4, Forza Motorsport 7 and 6mo of Live Gold for $516 this morning from JB.
    Awesome deal.

From what ive seen there is soooo much detail in the game and once the hand holding bit is over u r in for a nice journey.. much more depth then #1 and insane details you just don't see in other games e.g. go inside after being in snow and watch snow melt slowly on your jacket.

The $69 is a introduction price.

It will likely go up for a short period, then back down.

Depends when you're buying. Only be like $10-20 more.

I played an hour or so, so far pretty cool. As much as first person is better I find the fov nasty + the low fps more noticeable, so I think third person for me.

Graphically hasnt impressed me that much yet, but apparently it improves alot once out of snow. I think part of issue is my ps4 pro is only rendering it @ 1080p on my 1440p panel. Once I get my new 4k panel it will scale nicer I assume.

Only complaint so far is I dont know voices/names yet so often I dunno who is talking sometimes. Even with subtitles on it doesnt list their name.

You can turn the subtitle speaking names on in the settings menu.

So far I really like what I am seeing. If you're one like myself, that likes to loot everything, and build up a large kitty as early as you can, i feel this game will provide a lot of playtime hours. Have been making the posse wait in missions, for me to loot everyone when there's a cut scene break.

I'm finding it's taking me longer than normal to be fluid with the controls & processes. I've played Farcry4 , and Farcry 5 a lot this last few months, trying to get my console skills back up for this game. Hasn't helped

Ps, few hours in, and I've had to make a few honourable vs not so honourable decisions. Will be interesting if it has any future effects.

I'm liking the game, but the way you interact with objects needs... not an overhaul, but a tuneup. The long button presses are frequent, and the animations are slow - it's good for world detail that every action is animated but god damn it slows up the game a lot.

I think that's why gamespot gave it 9/10 instead of 10/10 they said it's too realistic sometimes and needs to be more of a game.
