Yeah I knew it was a whopper, but I was honestly surprised that it's a x2 BD game and wasn't sure if this was the first instance of it.

Yeah most games are still have install size around 50-60gb which fits within the BD limits but yeah 100gb is huge lol.
And it will only grow from here once RedDead Online launches.

Depends how you measure that. It doesn't take 7 years to make a movie.

But, yes, in general the games industry is far outpacing film. Best estimates are that there's 10x the money in the worldwide games biz compared to film. Quite impressive.

Other RDR2 stats I read today: RDR2 sold as many copies in 8 days as RDR1 sold in 8 years. Incredible.

Someone is full of shit. Games as narrative are more powerful today than ever, and that's a good thing. The idea that only one type of game can or should exist, or that you aren't a "real gamer" if you don't play a particular type of game is the worst kind of myopia.

I’m far more enjoying the story and cast in red dead then I have in any movie or tv show in ages.

Only drama I have with RDR2 is where the fuck is the soundtrack??? I need it in my life.

Finished the story last night, just working through the epilogue now.

Must say there was a goosebump moment at the end, and left me with alot of mixed feelings. Won't say anymore, for spoiler reasons.

nice, i'm still chugging through the story in between other shit and Arthur is growing on me. At first I found him a bit flat as a character but now, yeah I like the dude. He's a lot like Marsten, but in a different way if that makes sense.

Agree. I reckon the first half of the game was just a flat simple character. Over the last half of the game - he becomes one of the best video game characters i've played as.

I'm only at ch.2 and I am having the same issue which I'm hoping resolves at the game goes on; Arthur just seems really dull at this point.

I seem to have stalled progress on chapter 2. Do I really need to go down to where I'm wanted dead or alive (I think it's Blackwater) and meet Javier to rob a house to continue the story?
