So does that mean they'll release the first one?

As much as I really hope they do, I kind of doubt it.

Rockstar have this weird habit of ignoring old games for ages, and then doing a burst of releases on mobile. Never made sense to me.

Who knows, maybe someone deep in the bowels of their 7000 strong staff body cares, and wants to see their stories reach more people. Here's hoping.

played few hours on console and its a masterpiece, so I stopped playing.. So I can play it properly on PC. The detail is mind blowing.

    So excited.

Rockstar Launcher/Epic Game Store in November, Steam in December.

this is good news, saw a tweet about a pc release but never believed it. i dont have a ps4 and i dont use my xbone so glad its moved on. its cleaver to make em lots of money.

Looking forward to this, though wondering how bad the loading times are for this game. It's horrendous with GTA V/Online, hopefully they've fixed that.

The first game was (and still is) excellent. Spent so much time on it just trying to 100% it. The online aspect, while a little anemic was pretty fun.

Now, this might be some bullshit, but there were rumours a while back that they maaaay re-release it as the 10th anniversary next year (was released in 2010). That would be awesome, though honestly, I wouldn't hold my breath. Best option would be to just get a cheap PS3/Xbox 360 and picking the game (with the Undead Nightmare expansion) up. Should be cheaper than a couple cups of coffee.

RDR2 Loading times on XBONEX SSD vs HDD. Yuck. This is disappointing.

Well could quite easily expect 30 seconds or bit more on an NVME SSD. Fine with me. Itl be going on my 970 evo. Hardly going to see the best out of a sata ssd on USB 3.0 too.

Will see how fast it is, but honestly looks about the same as it is on GTA V/Online so far iirc.

This is very much off topic, so I'll keep it short, but the original RDR is fully playable on a couple of different emulators on a modern, powerful PC. Plenty of downsides - you can't jack the resolution up to native PC levels, visuals aren't what they could be, and frame rates are capped at around 60 FPS on Xenia (much lower still on RPCS3), however it's an option if you're super impatient and can't get your hands on a console.

If you want any sort of assistance with trying this out, head over to the retro forums, and we'll do our best to assist. Otherwise, apologies for the interruption, and fingers crossed we see the original title, which still is a brilliant piece of story telling some 9 years after release, native on PC for you guys soon.

If you're referring to my post above, I'm talking about RDR1, which to date has no announced PC release.

Story wise, it's backwards. RDR2 is the prequel to RDR1. So there's no real harm in playing them out of order.
