Now imagine them with the extra graphics options added to PC.

There's not much the engine will add to the PC release, other than resolution. And my screenshots and desktop are all native 1080p.

And a static screenshot doesn't suffer from low framerate. :)

I'm sure the PC version on hardware that costs three times a console will look much nicer in motion. But my screenshot folder is still sexy today.

PC version did add some new graphical enhancements apart from higher FPS. I'm sure its not night and day though.

    - Increased Draw Distance
    - Higher Quality Global Illumination
    - Higher Quality Ambient Occlusion
    - Improved Snow Trails
    - Improved Reflections
    - Higher Res Shadows
    - Tessellated Tree Textures
    - Improved Grass and Fur Textures

Be good to see some Xbox One X verse PC screenshots for true differences.

I'm sure that all looks gorgeous in motion. My "sunset through the fog while leaning against a tree" still screenshot probably wouldn't change much if redone. :)

I know you've got a boner for your PC Master Race hardware (and that's perfectly fine). But honestly, this game looks spectacular no matter how you play it.

And with that said, I hope you're all peppering the screenshot button and posting them to the "post pics" thread. Because mmmm wallpapers...

Give it a week or so and Digital Foundry will likely do one.

Agreed. I lowered details to mostly medium and was still wow'd by it all. Maybe your tree Arthur is leaning on might look a little more real with tesslation

Here's the original (bottom of the four shots): https://forums.overclockers.com.au/posts/18037305/

Buggers me where I was when I took it. But far out I was stunned when I loaded up my game and that's what I saw. (I love the random things you do on a save load up).

These enviroments are just crazy good looking, its so cinematic. I like that it seems like they went for a more artistic approach rather than striving for realism, that said its not like it isn't pretty convincing sometimes.

And god damn, i saw my first storm rolling in over the plains last night, holy shit, the visuals and sound combined were something special.

Yeah wont see much improvements on that 4th shot but the first one the tree textures bit flat, might look bit better on PC.

day one figures while everyone clamours for them aren't a good picture of the state of things, just the day one state.

Ah nice nice. Reflection quality on lowest see's big gains in perf for near no visual diff. I love stuff like that haha.
