I'm at about 38-40% completion, but haven't finished Chapter 2 yet - mainly running around finding stuff, legendary animals, etc.

Running at a pretty solid 55-60fps at 1920x1080, no settings changed from what it auto set. Monitor is only 60Hz, so it won't go higher than 60 anyway.

I read this morning there was a patch coming today and one of the fixes was the stutter issue so there is that. Not sure what else.

For me I guess I'm one of the lucky people as I've had zero issues since day one. Running 3440 x 1440 on my Vega 64 with the Vulcan API and from memory I've got everything set to either Ultra/High and it's been running great. What's the bet though that I've just jinxed myself and this patch screws me.

Woops, I didn't hit refresh on the thread and didn't see the video had been posted!

The update reset all my graphics settings :( Pain in the ass to change back. Looks like they've added 'Tree Tessalation''.

If it helps, your pc will struggle hard to run this at 4k haha

Bout to play some now, hopefully new patch is good and this video is just click bait

They've changed something in the way you set waypoints on the map - used to move the mouse to the target and press enter, now if you do that the waypoint can end up anywhere on the map. Have to double click where you want it now.

Fired up game and all my settings where changed. And am back on vulkan API (which I didn't select) . Let's see how we go now I have async enabled. Some peeps were saying dx12 is broken with new patch but I won't bother trying if perf is good on vulkan now.

Just ran benchmark with HWU optimised settings and performance is dang good. Average fps of 108.

Ill stick to this for now!

Is it just me or did they add in a new option in the advanced section underneath fur quality? I swear I never saw tree tessellation.

Don't turn it on either since it's gonna tank your fps.

the patch also turned off async compute so i turned it back on in the xml file.

Just checked and you are right Async is off but im not stuttering so I might leave it off.

tree tesselation on just drops my fps on a 2080 with vulkan (using HBU settings). i might turn off async compute though i haven't seen any adverse effects when on.

Would you notice in normal game play? sure it looks good, but it's a small detail TBH.
