Can someone recommend a good legit steam key seller that sells non-australian keys that i don't need to VPN to activate.

I'm not trying to get cheap stuff, just trying to get unedited games (although cheap is bonus). I've read that lots of people do this, and i've bought steam keys from other than steam before, but want to be sure i'm getting an other than Australian key.

I've actually read somewhere that so long as you don't live in WA or NT its not actually illegal to possess material that was refused classification so long as the content isn't illegal (child pornography for example) [Have since checked this and it basically sez exactly this (except only parts of NT, not the whole thing) is the case... So long as Wikipedia isn't lying.]
. You just aren't allowed to buy it here. Which if i buy from an overseas key site I'm not technically doing. I'm buying it there and bringing it here.
Also with those keys you do need VPN for(normally russian i think) is it only when you're activating it, or do you have to use VPN everytime you log into steam, or the game.

I think its hillarious that lots of german steam users take laptops or go to internet cafes in Austria to buy their games for this same reason.

First of all, read the forum rules about cdkey sites discussion.

Now that we've limited our scope to authorised digital retailers check out the bargain downloads thread for specific games - and it really does go on a case by case basis as to which site is best.

Finally, if you really want just the name of ONE site to use to avoid regional/censored games, and don't care about prices, then I guess Amazon.com is going to be the most reliable (since obviously US region is never restricted). The only catch is you'll need to use a US billing address (just use the address of the hotel you're "staying" at in that salestax free state). Make sure you're ordering a digital key version and not a disc version!

Both of which give you AU versions of games.

You might get away with gamersgate.co.uk, but no guarantees.

majority of the games you get are RoW or at least EU from both.

You'll be able to tell with GMG as they have the ANZ next to the name.

you only get the AU versions if GMG/GG lists it as ANZ only. You'll also notice the price is higher than normal.

There have been instances where the keys gotten from Amazon have been region locked, two that come to mind are batches of Mafia 2 and Inversion, so you definitely aren't guaranteed it

Use an Alaskan post code such as 99501 as they have no sales tax.

Hell! I'll pay the damn tax, if i can be sure its not a key from a retail box and not an australian one. And yes i know i was treading on thin ice asking for a key seller, but like i said, i want a legitimate site. And as far as i can work out, the point of sale will be wherever my credit card is processed, so this will be in America/England/Timbuktu/NeverNeverland, the fact that they then e-mail me the key here in Oz is basically the same as me going over there, buying a boxed copy and flying back with it. And since i'm allowed to have RC content so long as i bought it elsewhere, we're all good.

I actually found a nice list of legit sellers over at overclockers UK, with some reviews, so will probably look into that.

My 2 cents on censorship... Without the narcotics its Ma15+, with the narcotics its RC... So whats the R18+ for then...Unabashed porn games? Its as bad as DOA dimensions, which was refused classification because Kasumi and Ayane's ages were listed as "Unknown"and hence the gratuitous upskirt action available in all DOAs could be considered child pornography because they COULD be underage. Dumb. Dumbdumdumbidydumb.
