Given that RE3 came out in 1999, that would mean there are people old enough to drink and vote who weren't even born when it first appeared.

Remaking great games for a whole new generation of players is extremely worthwhile. What would be far worse would be these great titles rotting away in obscurity.

Unless you count the fact that they basically copied Alone in the Dark I guess you might have a point.

I like remakes like these, but I yearn for fresh ideas.

This review is saying that this is a good game, but a bit lazy and missing some of the things that made the OG RE3 great.

Sounds to me like a by the numbers remake off the back of the success of last years RE2 Remake.

    1) There are limited genres in the world. Not everything can be brand new. Super Mario Bros wasn't the first platformer either.

    2) Out of AITD and RE, I know which is rather play. :)

Very mixed reviews. Seems to have split the fan base a little.

Having worked in commercial art for decades, "inspiration" is a long and varied list on literally every project.

Very little art is conceived without prior influence. This is how humans work: we take ideas and tweak them, iteration by iteration.

Hmmm. This is a bit disappointing after REmake 2. RE3 to me was the inferior game to me back in the day as well but this REmake has a rushed element to it, being dropped right in it at the beginning and it just moving forward at a quick clip seems less artistic decision more cost cutting. It just doesn't feel like a whole game, more RE2 mission pack, more so than the first time around on PS1.

i finished it and it took me 6.5 hours to complete. i ain't mad that it is short but the nemesis fights are painfully annoying and they just don't have that same level of foreboding dread that mr. x has in RE2 remake.

as someone who never played the OG games it's still a solid entry but it didn't clear the bar.

First playthrough 5 hours, this is step down from REmake 2. Almost all the puzzles from the OG gone, and the branching paths. More care was taken with the previous game this one seems to have had corners cut to get it out as quickly as possible.

Some cool set pieces but for those on the fence I would wait for a deep discount.

Anyone having issues with running the game? While playing the game makes my monitor keep disconecting so the screen goes black and then reconnects. Ive updated the drivers for my 1080ti and windows 10 is all up to date.

Also says in the game that the memory of my video card is maxing out but in performance task manager it only says 5/11 GB utilisation.

Bit annoyed I paid full price as the game is meant to be reallly short
