Saw that one the other day with "Actually sir, I collect 1Up Arcade cabinets". Wish I'd saved it.

Saw that this morning which reminded me that I've been meaning to start a thread to post funny retro stuff for a while but I'm always on my phone when I see them. Beat me too it. :)

I've seen some other funny one's recently but trying to find things on Facebook can be next to impossible especially when you didn't take much of where it was posted while you were scrolling through. Grrrrrrrr...

It's a joke around our IT department because yes it solves many issues, and always has.

I dunno, I still have lots of hair. Unfortunately, it's in the wrong places.

I leave it to the reader's imagination how applicable that is to typical OCAU members over time.

When I was working in support a long time ago, one customer rang and wasn't able to work out why the PC would not switch on. I took the person through all the usual checks... then I was informed the persons area was in the middle of a power outage. They couldn't seem to understand the correlation between the two... *massive facepalm*

    OK friends, here's the rub:

The thread is "retro funnies". Make the posts retro, and funny. (A picture of an old computer with a generic modern IT blurb over the top is not funny, barely even retro).

We have a rant thread in the enterprise forums specifically for IT people with PTSD to vent their spleens. Please go do that there.

MR CHILLED and JSmithDTV , try and keep your postcount++ and like++ orgies nonsense down to sane levels.

I really hate threads like these, and think they belong in the pub. Don't make me close this one. On topic, or it's gone.

I don't think that is a very fair comment mate... my posts here have all been "retro funnies" including my support story.

Sure, close it then... not my thread.
