I haven't checked the tracks out, but you can play this in your browser courtesy of archive.org : https://archive.org/details/msdos_Stunts_1990
The track on archive.org is good, but it's version 1.0 like classic reload. Here's the trouble: Version 1.0 the jump here is impossible (which is why I selected the Porsche initially ... force people to take the long course) In 1.0 its close, but you cant get enough speed to jump the gap. Things appear to have changed in version 1.1 which can be gotten from here: https://www.myabandonware.com/game/stunts-10y There is a speed boost when you land jumps. Not sure about Auto, but choosing manual transmission and selecting the right gear to land in results in a slight increase in speed when you land. This gives you enough speed to make the jump and complete the short course without driving on the grass. updating OP...
Here's my time. auto transmission. This was actually quite difficult cos I only ever used the indy, Jaguar or Porsche 962... I always wondered what the purpose of the other cars was! Also, in 1.1 it seems the red tunnels have a solid roof - in the version I had as a youngin' you could clip right through the roof without crashing.
I spent SO many hours playing this. It was such a great game to have in high school because you could swap all the crazy tracks you made with each other. Gonna have to play it again this week and see what kind of time I can get!
does 1.1 have the bug where if you kept your foot floored in the f1 car you kept speed even on grass? I loved doing the massive, massive jumps over whole mountains in that
first go i slammed the brakes when i started thinking did it crash if one goes too fast but doesnt seem the porsche will
we may have a problem with this comp, hahaha. next one i vote for something less, how should i put this - inconsistent as fuck.
OP definitely needs a voting thread. Man I will say I loved Destruction Derby when it was new, it Screamer and Need For Speed all introduced me to VGA PC 3D. OMFG https://store.steampowered.com/app/697580/Screamer/
Ah well I didnt really foresee these problems arising ... But I did put down a 1:51.55 in version 1.1 ... sorry DK My best in 1.0 is currently 2:05.85
