Not sure of CD style soundtracks count...

Command and Conquer soundtrack was great, those are my 2 favourite.

Classic GoldenEye track first level, was awesome when I first got the N64 purely because of GoldenEye, playing on my parents new 68cm flat screen Sony wega, didn't feel like the console was so blurry back then, that first level though the sheer size and the clarity of the soundtrack, something ill never forget.

I'm on the "VGM on Vinyl" facespace group, and ho boy that's a hobby that looks expensive. I kinda want to pick a few up, but it looks like a slippery slope of obsession that my personality type is far too weak to resist.

But man, some of that cover art is to die for.

you missed the best version of the game playing on the SNES ;)

also, this game shipped on one floppy - pure gaming excellence.

Yeah, we were too poor for an Amiga. Had out-of-town friends who had one, and it was always a blast firing it up when we went to visit.

I didn't get a SNES until some years later, and I had to do a year's worth of extra chores and odd jobs around town to get the money for one.

Chris Huelsbeck released the Turrican 1,2,3 OST's and some remixes on iTunes. I have it on my phone. :)

I have promised myself I won't start collecting game sound tracks on vinyl. This is a dangerous and slippery slope, for which I am not adequately funded.

But holy shit, Okami and Streets of Rage II on vinyl are so tempting...

Yup. Back when I had a Facebook account, I also spent a lot of time in the various "Video game vinyl collectors" group pages. Some seriously crazy collections there.

I was in Japan about this time last year, and came close to buying quite a lot of vinyls (Beep in Akihabara had a tonne). Thankfully rational behaviour won the day, and I left it all.

I've got financial and physical room for retro games, CRTs and arcade machines. There's good reason this hobby doesn't extend to pinball and vinyl, and it needs to stay that way.

Not everyone has Joel Hopkins levels of income. :)

haha, yeah i can see how out of control it could get if you did.

I think i'm happy with digitial soundtracks, their physical manifestations are things of beauty though - that artwork!
