Hey guys, I have an old RGR420EX a few years back the head was snapped on it etc.
Anyway, I'm now looking at repairing it, because I absolutely love it's look!
so what would be some options? I was thinking of trying to build one since i have a rough guide from the old neck.

    What are OCAU's thoughts?

If you are keen I would build a replacement, then if it is shit, buy a replacement. My concern with building would be having a mismatch of finishings.

Can you post some pictures? How bad is the break? You might be able to glue it back together.

If it's a neck through, either fix the break or buy a new guitar imo. Too much effort for a guitar that price when you can buy MIJ RG's for less than $500.

Just curious ( I know you own the guitar so know better) how were you planning on hoping to fix the neck (head) on a neck through body. If it is indead a neck through why not try and convert it to a bolt on.

I would not even contenplate fixing it if it was a neck through unless I had the head or was thinking of turning it tinto a bolt on.
